I am reaching out regarding the disappointing experience my family and I had at Denny’s located at [redacted] W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee, FL [redacted] on Thursday, April 14 at 12 PM. The service we received was unacceptable. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we waited an unreasonable amount of time to place our orders and for our food to arrive. Frustrated by the long wait and the poor service, we left without being served our meals. However, we were still charged for our drinks. The coffee was cold, and one of our party members didn't even receive their food. When I raised these issues with the waitress, she threatened us with accusations of dining and dashing if we didn't pay. I am incredibly disappointed by the lack of concern and professionalism displayed. I urge you to investigate this matter thoroughly and take appropriate actions, including addressing the manager’s behavior and providing compensation for the inconvenience caused. I placed an order for 2 appetizers for pickup using the online app. However, upon arrival at the store, I encountered a complete disaster. Three out of the 4 appetizers I had selected for the "Build your own sampler" were not available, which was not communicated on the app until 20 minutes later. Despite the issues, a refund was denied due to the absence of a manager. It took over an hour to receive my order of pancakes, bacon, sausage, and hash browns, with the service being slow and unpleasant. The staff member made several mistakes and seemed unfamiliar with the Denny's menu. Although advised to call for a refund, my attempts to contact a manager have been unsuccessful. This situation is frustrating, and I would appreciate a prompt response from a supervisor regarding this matter.

Hello. I recently had a negative experience at Denny’s on University Ave in Riverside, CA, with my son. The payment machine had a glitch and the Spanish-speaking employees made fun of us instead of helping. This behavior was disrespectful and humiliating. Despite being considerate customers, we were mocked by multiple staff members, including the manager. This treatment was unwarranted and left us feeling incredibly disappointed. I visited Denny's in New Port Richey, Florida, on 19 Trouble Creek for Mother's Day brunch. We had a short wait for a table, about 10 to 15 minutes. The hostess seated us in a corner where the air conditioning was blasting, making us quite cold. The booth and table were damp from being wiped down, which we had to dry ourselves. Our drink order was taken after a while, but then our food order seemed to be forgotten until another family sat nearby. The waitress mentioned a 50-minute wait, which was not communicated earlier. After waiting for over an hour with multiple promises of our food coming "real soon," we left hungry and disappointed. The service was lacking, and it was frustrating to see other patrons being served while we were ignored. This experience really dampened our Mother's Day celebration. I am requesting two complimentary dinners for my husband and myself to make up for this poor customer service.

When I got home, I realized an item was missing from my order, so I went back to the store. Unfortunately, the shift had changed. The current manager seemed skeptical, questioning my honesty despite looking at the receipt. Feeling upset, the manager eventually offered me two pancakes, which I declined due to her attitude. I requested compensation for my time and gas as it's a 10-mile round trip for me. The manager, who wasn't wearing a name badge, claimed to be the manager. When I asked for the actual manager, she threatened to call the police and followed through. As a Registered Nurse with 40 years of experience, good customer service is crucial to me. This particular manager clearly lacks that skill and I left feeling disappointed, not only for not receiving what I paid for but also for being accused of trespassing.

I have been a loyal customer of Denny's for many years, frequenting the same restaurant and befriending the staff without issue. However, a new employee misunderstood my friendly conversation, mistaking my intentions and causing unnecessary embarrassment. I simply introduced myself and offered my contact information in case they needed assistance with their cars as I am a mechanic. Regrettably, the manager wrongly accused me of inappropriate behavior, which was a hurtful and baseless assumption. I am a respectful individual, known for my friendly demeanor to all staff members, regardless of gender. This unjust accusation has left me feeling humiliated and I am considering involving legal counsel due to the unjust treatment. Hello, my name is Lynette. I am contacting you because my son Daimon was injured while entering the Denny's restaurant in Vestal, NY on June 18, [redacted]. He fell into a large pothole and sustained injuries to his leg, knee, arm, forearm, and back. He has visited the emergency room and two other doctor's offices for treatment. He is currently on a prescribed pain medication regimen and has been advised to refrain from certain activities. This incident has disrupted our family plans, including canceling a vacation. I have taken several steps to alleviate his pain, incurring additional expenses for childcare, transportation, and medical supplies. Despite obtaining an accident report from the manager, I have not received any communication from Denny's regarding the matter. During our recent visit to Denny's, we dined in and ordered three adult meals and one kids meal. Our order included one salmon dish, two build your own burgers with fries, and one kids meal consisting of eggs, bacon, and toast. When we attempted to use the 20% off coupon from the Denny's app, we encountered technical difficulties. Despite multiple efforts, the coupon failed to open, and we were informed that it had been accessed too many times, rendering it unusable. The staff mentioned that this issue is common among app users, and we were advised to wait three hours for the coupon to become available again. Consequently, we had to pay the full amount for our meal as the discount could not be applied. Unfortunately, we do not have the receipt on hand at the moment.

I had a disappointing experience at Dennys in Guaynabo, PR, near Plazoleta [redacted] at 12:30 pm. There was only one waiter, who provided excellent service, while there were at least 7 employees chatting. The cashier seemed unfamiliar with applying the VIP discount and using the cash register. Although some employees mentioned she was new, they didn't help her effectively. The waiter had to handle payments, but the VIP discount couldn't be applied. It felt chaotic with many employees around but only one working. There should be improved controls, training for all staff, and better supervision to enhance the overall customer service experience.

I had an issue with my food order; they promised to call me back but never did. When I returned, the lady was very rude. She gave me a clearly raw egg for my nine-month-old, which was not what I asked for. She was handling both waitressing and cooking, and I believe having separate staff for these tasks would be better. She seemed inexperienced in cooking and even got confrontational, pointing her finger at me. I politely explained that if the food had been prepared correctly initially, I would not have had to return. Her rude behavior and serving raw food, especially to my infant, goes against your establishment's standards.

I frequently visit Sioux Falls, South Dakota with my husband for work, stopping at the Flying J where Denny’s is located. Over the past year, the service at this Denny’s has declined. The nighttime employee there often closes the restaurant at his own discretion, even discouraging customers from entering. Additionally, there was a waitress in pajama pants serving tables. During my recent visit, I requested my roast beef to be served on nine-grain bread, a request often not fulfilled in the past. Unfortunately, it was still served on the wrong bread. When I pointed this out, the waiter dismissively replied and walked away. This poor service has led my friends and me to stop meeting for dinner there. The nighttime employee seems to lack the authority to consistently open and close the restaurant, sometimes dissuading customers from entering. I urge you to witness this behavior for yourself in the evenings.

My husband and I recently visited Denny’s in Kaufman, TX, located near the highway and Washington St. Upon arrival, we followed the sign to wait to be seated. While I briefly went to the restroom, my husband waited, but when I returned, he informed me that the staff didn't seem interested in serving us. The lady at the register even threatened to call the police if we didn't leave. According to my husband, despite waiting for a while, the woman's first words to him were "what do you want," after he mentioned the sign instructing guests to wait. He expressed his disappointment in the lack of service but was met with resistance. This encounter left me questioning the appropriateness of such treatment towards customers in a business establishment. Although I only heard one side of the story from my husband, I have no reason to doubt his account.

My husband and I had a disappointing experience at Denny's. We both ordered the chicken-fried steak, with my husband having fries and me choosing mashed potatoes. Unfortunately, both dishes were overly salty, making them inedible. When my husband requested unsalted fries, the waitress took them away from his plate rudely right at the table, which we found insulting. According to the waitress, the excessive salt was due to a corporate directive to address previous complaints of bland food. Ultimately, my husband had almost finished his meal by the time he received his replacement fries. My mashed potatoes were too runny, so I took them home to add potatoes in an attempt to thicken them and reduce the saltiness. We were unaware of the salt policy, and my husband has high blood pressure. We believe customers should be warned about the salt levels before ordering to avoid such situations.

My name is Angel Smith, and I work at Denny's on Thompson Road as a service assistant. When I arrived at work today, I encountered an ongoing issue with another service assistant. They began harassing me as soon as I clocked in, and at 11:30 am, the problem persisted. I reported the situation to both managers. One manager walked away without taking any action, while the other only addressed it when the offending service assistant involved him. Feeling overwhelmed, I decided to leave as I couldn't tolerate the verbal abuse any longer. I informed the head manager before departing, expressing that the situation made me consider reacting physically towards the other assistant. I was at Denny's, gambling and had a bonus to cash out by 11:30. When I tried to order T-bone steaks, cheesecakes, and ice cream at the cash register, the cashier refused as they had already closed. She also declined serving me cheesecake because it was past midnight. Upset by her rudeness, I asked to speak to the manager, but after waiting for a while, no one showed up. Disappointed by the poor customer service, I decided to contact corporate to report her behavior. I may not expect the store to take action, but I felt the cashier's behavior towards customers, like myself and others waiting to cash out, was unacceptable. I have faced numerous challenges at Denny's Ellerslie in the past 7-8 months. Despite giving a two months’ notice, they denied my time off for Christmas and the New Year. I often get scheduled for inconvenient shifts like working overnight until 7 am and returning at 5 pm on the same day without overtime pay. The scheduling is unfair as some staff receive more morning shifts with better tips, leaving night shift workers to clean up after them. Management also pressures us to work on our days off and fails to provide sufficient training. There are incidents of mistreatment, blame-shifting, and inadequate staffing. I am considering legal action if the working conditions do not improve. Many coworkers are leaving, but due to financial obligations, I need to stay for now. It's a challenging situation that needs addressing.

This morning, my parents and I enjoyed breakfast at Denny's in Key Largo, FL. The food and service were excellent. However, when we tried to pay and used our AARP discount card, the manager informed us that they do not offer AARP discounts. Interestingly, my parents dined at the same location last night and received the AARP discount without any issues. I brought this discrepancy to the attention of the manager who was handling our payment. He refused to acknowledge the inconsistency and stated they do not participate in the AARP discount program. Upon checking Denny's and AARP websites, it's clear that this location does offer AARP discounts, but there were no signs indicating otherwise inside the restaurant. Additionally, we were informed that they do not provide any discounts, including for veterans. My husband, a retired veteran, has received military discounts at other Denny's locations in the past. It's disappointing that despite the corporate and AARP websites confirming the AARP discount is accepted, this particular branch does not honor it. This disappointing experience has soured our impression of the Denny's chain, and we are unlikely to visit Denny's again in the future.

My husband and I had dinner at a local restaurant in Orange City, Florida, which we frequent. This time, we were seated at a booth we had never used before, and unfortunately, we encountered several issues. While at our table, I discovered a cockroach on my foot, which came from a missing and rotted baseboard. The area beneath the booth was filthy, with food, crayons, and other items visible, making it an unpleasant experience. Despite bringing the matter to the attention of our waitress, she was dismissive and unhelpful. Following this, our service slowed down, and no manager approached us to address the situation. I have photographs as evidence of the cockroach and the unsanitary conditions. We regularly visit this restaurant and typically spend between $30 to $40 during each visit. Regrettably, based on this incident and how poorly it was handled, I am hesitant to return to this particular location. Additionally, I observed black mold growing on the back of the juice machine, and I have documented this with photos as well.

I am having trouble getting free birthday breakfast without the app. Many others face the same problem. Is this a new way to stop people from getting birthday meals? It would be helpful to have a system where customers can provide their phone number for restaurant staff to access their rewards. Similar systems are used by Chili's and grocery stores.

On the 11th of this month, I reported an incident to customer service regarding a situation with a male employee of Hispanic descent. He refused service to me, assuming I was homeless. Despite clarifying that I was not homeless, he insisted I pay before ordering my meal. At the time, I was the only black patron among 8 to 9 others who were white or Hispanic. When I asked if he required the same of other customers, he remained silent and did not provide his name upon request. I lodged a complaint and was assured I would be contacted, but I have not received any follow-up from the company. As a result, I am considering seeking legal advice due to this issue and the lack of response from the company.
