I recently responded to an advertisement from Conde Nast online offering subscriptions to magazines at varying prices. I selected two magazines for $5 each and proceeded to checkout. Due to a mistake with my Visa number (due to eyesight issues), the transaction did not go through. When I tried adding WIRED magazine to my order, I was surprised to hear a sales pitch for a back brace, which is not typical for Conde Nast. This made me concerned about a possible hack and the safety of my Visa card information. I called the number on the ad and spoke to a woman who claimed to be from Conde Nast but could only process the WIRED subscription, not the others at the $5 price. Unsure if I canceled everything or just took WIRED, I wanted to report a potential fraud issue. I will contact my bank, Chase, about this as well. My name is Jeanne Duff from Princeton, NJ.

In our upcoming Tenth Edition (fall [redacted]) of the textbook "Analyzing Short Stories" by Irwin Shaw, we aim to include the iconic short story "The Girls in Their Summer Dresses." Previously, we have obtained permission to reprint this story from The New Yorker and Condé Nast Inc. Starting from the Fourth Edition ([redacted]) through the Ninth Edition ([redacted]), this story has been a valuable addition to our publication. As we move forward, we kindly request guidance and information on the procedure to secure permission to use "The Girls in Their Summer Dresses" once again. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

On November 26, $99 was charged to my Paypal account by Conde Nast without my authorization. Despite contacting Paypal, I have been unable to obtain details about this charge. I want to clarify that I have not signed up for any magazine subscriptions and am keen to resolve this issue promptly due to the significant amount involved. After contacting customer service, they assured me of cancelling the unauthorized subscription and issuing a refund. Although I received an email confirming the cancellation, there was no mention of the refund as promised. During a follow-up call, I requested written confirmation of the refund. Lindsay assured me this could be arranged. However, the subsequent email I received only confirmed the cancellation without addressing the refund. I intend to pursue this matter until a resolution is reached.

I recently subscribed to WIRED and saw an ad in the magazine to create an account. However, when I tried to sign up using my email and password, the website claimed my email belonged to another Conde Nast publication and rejected my password. I couldn't remember the other publication or its password, leaving me locked out with no way to proceed. I suggest allowing different passwords for each publication or displaying a list of associated publications when showing the error message. This would make it easier for customers like me to identify the source of the issue.
