I called last month to explain I was unemployed and asked for financial assistance. I was told I would need to speak to a third party who could offer that for me and was transferred. I spoke to two different people, and both said they couldn’t assist me without accessing my account. They said they needed to gain access from CareCredit and would follow up with a phone call. I never heard back, so I called customer service today. I was sent straight to Collections where I was told a completely different story: If I can’t make minimum payments, call back when I have a job and can make them* until then, my account may go into collections as they is no stopping that. I was offered no attempt at assistance and was consistently told if I didn’t have the minimum, there was nothing to be done. I called in November because I am trying to get ahead of things. Please advise if there is another solution other than my account becoming delinquent and ruining my credit. I’m open to solutions.
