The California Fair Pay to Play Act, SB206, grants NCAA recruits and college athletes the rights to their Name, Likeness & Image Publicity. SB206 allows female high school & college athletes to develop their brand during their most marketable years. This bill enables young athletes to establish business contacts & skills while challenging the NCAA’s outdated “amateur” model. Athletes, apart from those in the NCAA, and those incarcerated, lack ownership of their name & likeness. SB206 aims to end the exploitative control the NCAA and universities have held over athletes for too long. It’s time for California to advocate for the civil and human rights of future college athletes by supporting SB206, leading the way for fair treatment.

In Amador County, CPS and court-appointed attorney, Kelly Bentley, have ignored and covered up the abuse my two young boys, aged 7 and 8. The older boy is autistic. Despite providing evidence like doctor's reports, sheriff's reports, pictures, videos, and the statements of my sons, CPS and Kelly Bentley have failed to act responsibly. I fear for my sons' safety as the abuse by their mother and stepfather continues without consequences. Even with clear documentation of incidents like punches, bruises, and non-accidental injuries, authorities like Judge Renee Day seem to overlook the evidence. I have raised concerns about conflicts of interest, especially with the stepfather's mother working at HHS, but they have been dismissed. I have reached out to various agencies and officials, even in Sacramento, but the jurisdictional issues persist. I have relocated to Tuolumne County, where the local agencies confirmed the abuse but lack jurisdiction. I believe transferring the case out of Amador County is essential to ensure my children's safety. I am determined to protect my children, despite facing financial challenges and a lack of legal representation. Fairness and justice must prevail for my children and others in similar situations.

I have discovered a significant sex trafficking ring in Northern California involving law enforcement from local cops to the DA's office, and even local drug dealers. Whenever parents seek FBI assistance, it's blocked by the local offices. This crisis puts at risk the lives of countless children, men, and women, with hundreds going missing every year. The Sheriff claims voluntary disappearances, but I found registered sex offenders nationwide originating from here. The DMV issuing fake driver's licenses aggravates the issue. Having worked in law enforcement before, I witnessed such corruption that I feared for my life for refusing to partake in illegal activities. The local academy should be closed, and a thorough overhaul is necessary. Men arrested for rape being released just blocks away and facing daily death threats further emphasize the urgent need for intervention.

I reside in Pittsburg, CA, and have lived here my whole life. The state of our community is disheartening. The increasing homelessness, akin to San Francisco, is unacceptable. Our local government must take action to rectify this situation. It is distressing to witness individuals living on the streets, leading to unsanitary conditions. Measures need to be implemented to prevent such occurrences. The state has a substantial surplus; some of these funds should be utilized to improve our streets. California used to be a beautiful place, but the current state is distressing. Laws prohibiting street living are necessary to restore our community.

I am Michele Markle, a 62-year-old resident at Lazy Wheel Mobile Home Park in Ceres, California. Recently, workers from Metro Investment Group disconnected my electricity, leaving me without power for a month. Despite efforts from California Rural Legal to contact the owner in Los Angeles, the issue remains unresolved. Past electricity problems led to health issues, hindering my disability application due to lost mail. I face unbearable living conditions without electricity, affecting my medical treatments and food storage expenses. Urgently needing my electricity restored and awaiting my stimulus check to alleviate financial strain.
