I placed an order online to be picked up in store. I paid for the order online. I sent another person in store to pick up the order. However, the restaurant gave the person an extremely hard time because they didnt have the physical card. If an order is already paid for and you are picking up you should be able to just give the name for the food and go. It doesn’t make sense of giving the option to pay online if you still need to show the card and id. I completely understand wanting to make sure you give the food to the correct person. But if someone comes in picking up an order and gives the full name, the entire order, AND has the confirmation email what are the chances that it is not them?

GetHuman-gaylepat did not yet indicate what Applebees should do to make this right.
