The issue in GetHuman-felleesh's own words
I was flying from Kentucky to NY, and had one bag to check, I checked in electronically and paid the $** baggage fee and when I went to drop off my bag it was overweight, I didn't have enough room in my carry on to take stuff out so I agreed to pay the overweight charge which is $** which should've brought my total to $*** but I was charged an extra $** checked bag fee even though I had already paid for it. The total I was charged was $***. To follow once I arrived in NY my bag was lost for several hours, no exaggeration, the American Airlines help desk which isn't so helpful had me running around from conveyor belt to conveyor belt looking for my bag. After a long trip, a longer night, that very long morning seems very unnecessary. I am very upset that I was overcharged, more upset that my bag was lost, and the most upset that I wasn't given much assistance in finding it. I believe a full refund for the baggage fees a total of $*** is the least American Airlines Can do.
