Hello. I'm trying to help my mother get her aarp rx coverage back. She was cancelled due to non payment, BUT it was because we moved to another state and when we she called to give new address to rx plan, they didn't ask if she wanted to continue taking premiums out of her social security. So it defaulted to billing customer. And she didn't understand that. She has had a number of health issues the last few years including cancer, kidney failure, falls, heart attack, stroke, arterial disease, and beginning of dimensia. So I'm *sure you can understand her not understanding we had to pay the bill seperatly from health part. They've always taken it out of ssi since she began with them in ****. Now the plan has been cancelled due to non payment, that we didn't know we had to pay. And she takes over ** meds a month which would be about $*,****mo without insurance. These meds are vital with her many conditions, and we can't afford that. This shouldn't have happened in the first place. They should have asked her if she wanted to keep having it taken out of ssi when we moved and had to change address. But they DIDN'T. This is not our fault, and she should be penalized for this. PLEASE I am her son and really need help getting her rx plan back. She's been a good customer for ** years. She doesn't deserve this.
