Hello, I am a client of Ackermans and I brought in my son's Samsung A10 mobile phone for repairs on 16/01/[redacted]. The phone was purchased in cash in July [redacted] and suddenly stopped working. I took it back to the store in Centurion Mall where we bought it. They sent it to 3G for repairs, and after the initial 21 days, I had to follow up multiple times to get updates. Eventually, I was informed that the device was out of warranty and would require an assessment fee of R302.63 incl VAT. I was later told by a consultant from the store that the phone had water damage and I would be charged for the inspection due to their policy regarding water damage. I disagree with this charge as it was not communicated to me previously. The phone was under six months old when we brought it in, and this additional cost is not acceptable. I request your intervention to resolve this matter promptly, or I will seek assistance elsewhere and escalate this issue further if necessary.
