Hello, my name is Heidi S. I recently left my job due to not receiving the raise I had been promised for 5 weeks. I was receiving unemployment benefits when my employer tried to ask me back to work, but I declined since I had been completing all tasks required of me without receiving the raise. I reached out to a deputy regarding this on 5/22/20, but have had trouble getting updates for about 3 weeks. I have a history of working diligently, often putting in long hours, and now find it challenging to get through for assistance when needed. I have colleagues willing to support my claims of unfair treatment and delayed raise. Despite expressing my concerns about the raise to my boss, I was still not given the raise after weeks of fulfilling the additional responsibilities. When they asked me to return to work offering inadequate hours, I reiterated my stance on the raise. Unfortunately, I was then reported for not returning to work. I am seeking clarity on the matter and hoping for a resolution soon. Thank you for your support.

I have been trying to reach out for weeks without any success. After my last attempt on Friday when I spoke to someone and was put on hold, I ended up waiting for hours without anyone assisting me. Every time I call, I get transferred and then disconnected, leading to no resolution. I have already filed a claim through the PUA for unemployment, but I have been advised to cancel and refile through regular unemployment, which I am unable to do since I can't get through to speak with anyone.

During the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, I enrolled for unemployment benefits after my anticipated summer work at Snowshoe Mountain got canceled by a client based in New York. The situation in New York prompted the cancellation. It took considerable effort to prove my eligibility, ultimately securing benefits through the emergency COVID-19 program. After receiving benefits smoothly for about six weeks, without any prior warning, my payments abruptly halted three weeks back. The workforce cited separation issues as the reason for suspending my claim. Initially, a similar problem occurred when I applied, but it was resolved back then. I am baffled as to why this has reoccurred. If the issue lies in misplacement on the wrong account from the beginning, then the fault does not rest with me. Work opportunities remain scarce in my community, compounding the urgency of resolving this matter swiftly.

I require assistance with my PUA claim. The initial backpay of $10,[redacted] is still pending. Despite reporting the hacking incident to the fraud office and resolving all their requirements, I am yet to receive any updates from the workforce team after two weeks. I urgently need to receive the $10,[redacted] owed to me, which has been pending since July 3rd. The fraud department assured me that all issues were resolved, and a workforce staff member would process the remaining claim two weeks ago. I am seeking help to expedite the payment process.

Despite being denied regular unemployment benefits, I recently applied for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) due to my health conditions and ongoing challenges. My doctor has provided a back-dated note detailing my high-risk situation and recent medical diagnosis. While my PUA claim has been approved retroactively from September 6th, it's now December 7th and I am struggling to cover basic expenses. My bank account has been closed, and essential services like internet, trash pickup, phone, and electricity are at risk of being disconnected. Although a supervisor confirmed that my claim is in order, the delay in processing is causing significant distress. I fear for my well-being as a result of these financial difficulties and ongoing health concerns. I have reached out for assistance multiple times without success and urgently require resolution to avoid further repercussions.

I was notified on December 7th at approximately 1pm by Workforce WV that my PUA unemployment claim had been approved. After checking my PUA WV account online today, at least 24 hours later, I saw that over $3,[redacted] was paid, but the funds have not appeared on my Key Bank Card yet. I am worried that there may have been an issue. I would appreciate it if someone could reach out to me regarding this matter. My home phone number is [redacted], and my name is E. Ashby. My birthdate is 07/18/[redacted]. Thank you.

Ten weeks ago, I received a call from the PUA fraud department informing me that my business license had expired. Due to the widespread effects of COVID-19, I was unable to renew it. Despite being told that a part of West Virginia was open, I had to visit in person, which was not possible due to closures. Although PUA does not require proof of employment or income, I provided a lease agreement and an expired business license, which I was unaware of until recently. I simply want to receive payment and stop individuals like Investigator R. and Alexander N. from causing further issues, and instead focus on apprehending actual criminals.

I accidentally mixed up two weeks, leading to an error in my reported hours. When I attempted to correct it, I mistakenly entered [redacted] hours instead of 10.5, causing my claim to be closed due to full-time status. Since around Oct. 12, I've been working fewer hours each week, impacting my benefits. I've been diligently contacting the jobs number, Morgantown office, and even emailed the COVID-19 address provided. You can reach me at [redacted]. Thank you, R.V. Daugherty.

I received a [redacted]-G from your organization stating that I received $4,[redacted].00 in unemployment compensation. However, the person who received this amount was not me. I have been retired for many years, living in Florida, and have never worked in or visited West Virginia. This needs to be corrected immediately as this is fraudulent information. I will not be reporting this income on my federal tax return. I have filed a police report with the Port St. Lucie PD today under report number [redacted]58. Officer Morestant handled the report and can be contacted at [redacted] or [redacted]. Sincerely, N.L. Lyman [redacted] NW Gatun Drive Port St. Lucie, FL

I applied for PUA benefits last year when my workplace closed due to COVID-19. I received a one-time back payment for the initial waiting period, but I never received the additional weeks owed to me. After 8 months, I was sent an email stating I was disqualified for filing a claim outside the US, which was incorrect. The email also mentioned an overpayment that I did not receive. Currently, my online portal shows my claim has been extended with a higher amount, but no further payments have been made since last year's initial payment. When I tried calling the provided number, it stated my SSN was invalid and that I filed from outside the US. I need assistance resolving these issues promptly as I am currently unemployed and require these benefits.

I filed for PUA benefits last year as my workplace closed due to COVID-19. After being deemed monetarily eligible in March, I received a one-time back payment, but the following owed weeks were not given. Eight months later, I received an email stating I had made a claim outside the US, committing fraud, and being overpaid, which isn't true. On checking my portal, it now indicates my claim has been extended with a higher amount, but no further payments are shown since last year's one-time payment. When attempting to call, the system claims my SSN is invalid and I filed from outside the US. I urgently need assistance to resolve these issues as I'm currently unemployed again and looking to secure some form of unemployment benefits.

Since March [redacted], I have been filing for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA). Unfortunately, my claims have been under review since early November [redacted]. Despite reaching out via phone, mail, and email to various representatives who are assisting me, no one has been able to provide me with a clear explanation except that it is still under review. I have submitted all the required documentation, including a letter from my doctor confirming that I am high risk and should stay at home. I work as a newspaper delivery person and an Avon Representative, but my Avon sales have significantly decreased due to the pandemic. I have a friend who helps with the newspaper deliveries so I can continue working. Feeling lost and unsure of what steps to take next, I have spoken to Carolyn Jacobs from the Wheeling office, as well as two representatives from the Martinsburg office, in addition to numerous others. I have been diligently calling the [redacted] number once or twice a week since November.

Since January 24, my account has been on hold. I've submitted 8 work tickets, made countless calls, and even waited up to 4 and a half hours only to get disconnected. I've faxed my local office three times, talked to two agents - one said she would fix the issue but never called back, and the second one apologized and certified me for each week, but my account is still on hold. I haven't received any help, and it's affecting my mental and physical health. I need assistance to understand why my account is still on hold.
