I did not receive my statement due on Feb. 2, [redacted], and when I got the statement due on Mar. 2, I was surprised to see a double payment was needed. I promptly sent the double payment plus an extra $60. I am always on time with this bill. SMAC charged me a $2.50 late fee and said they might report it to the Credit Bureau. I contacted a customer service representative at SMAC today. I explained everything, including my habit of overpaying and not getting the invoice. The representative mentioned it didn't matter if I overpaid or missed the invoice; I must pay by the 2nd of the month. I rely on the bill as a reminder, and I am concerned about the late payment being reported to the Credit Bureau. My credit score is excellent in the [redacted] range. I want to clear this up as soon as possible. In the future, if I have to work with SMAC again, I will try a different financing option. Good customers like me should be treated well. I ensure all my bills are paid promptly.

On 1/14, I reached out to SMAC regarding an unauthorized payment from my account. Despite previous calls to stop automatic payments, one was deducted. Tamara reassured me it wasn't automatic, which my bank confirmed was an ACH payment. A refund was initiated on 1/14, promised in 72 hours.
After not receiving the refund, I called on 1/19 and was informed it would take 8-10 days due to it being an automatic payment. Requested a supervisor, yet to receive a callback as of 1/26. Followed up on 1/21 and 1/25, still on a call back list.
This lack of professionalism and inability to speak with a supervisor is frustrating. Monthly charges persist without resolution. No corporate contact available. This experience has been disappointing, and I do not recommend this company to others.
