I recently applied for a job at Family Dollar and encountered a setback in the process. About 15 to 16 years ago, I worked at the 3rd Ave West store in Birmingham, Alabama. Unfortunately, my employment ended due to a personal conflict with the store manager, not for any serious misconduct. I believe this issue from the past is affecting my current job application. I am eager to rectify this situation as I am a dedicated and hardworking individual who strongly desires to work for Family Dollar again. Please reach out to me at [redacted] to discuss this matter further. My name is Tamica Owens. I appreciate your attention to this matter. Thank you.

I recently bought taco shells at the Columbia, NC store. Upon opening them at home, I discovered they were rancid and over a year and five months past the expiration date, a detail I missed when purchasing. The smell of rancid oil filled my kitchen only after heating them. I bought two boxes, and both were inedible. I suggest that the store's employees should rotate the stock regularly, check expiration dates, and remove outdated products to avoid incidents like mine. I attempted to contact the store using the phone number on the receipt and website, but it was out of service. This needs to be updated as well. I plan to inform health inspectors about this concerning issue.

I visited the dollar store to buy sage. When I asked an employee, I was informed they were out of stock since yesterday. I left to call my mom and noticed the store manager was outside. Later, I found out the manager called the police on me. I was shocked and upset as I had done nothing wrong. I feel unjustly accused and am planning to address this situation at the courthouse tomorrow. It's disheartening that a store I frequent would treat me this way.

On 11/29/20, a female employee in Selma, NC, was very firm about wearing masks upon entry. I have PTSD and am not required to wear a mask due to a medical exemption. Despite showing her my documentation, she still insisted. This caused me distress, and I left without all I needed. When I returned on 12/1 with the same issue, her manager did not intervene. I informed her about contacting corporate and the district manager, as well as recording the incidents. The employee dismissed it, and they even laughed about it.

I am currently at store number [redacted] in Bay Shore, NY, where the store manager has my original receipt and is not allowing me to exchange my items. Despite my previous returns with the original receipt, he has refused to return it to me. The manager's behavior towards me and the situation is extremely rude and unprofessional, happening in front of other customers, making this experience very humiliating.

I've been attempting to apply for a position at this company, but the store manager seems to be encountering difficulties accessing my application. Despite my efforts over the past month to resolve this issue, I have only managed to speak with a customer service representative once. Regrettably, the interaction was unpleasant as the individual was dismissive and abruptly ended the call without allowing me to address my concerns. Securing employment is vital for me as I aim to provide for my family.

As a past employee, I am in urgent need of assistance from Human Resources. My Social Security Number was mistakenly entered incorrectly into the system during my time with the company. This error is causing issues now as my current employer is unable to verify my employment record, resulting in a delay in my hiring process. I am reaching out to HR to request that they rectify my SSN in the system promptly so that my new employer can successfully access my employment history at Family Dollars. This mistake with my SSN was previously highlighted when I had to request my W2 form a few years back. A manager informed me that my SSN had been input inaccurately, which led to complications in obtaining my W2.

Hello, my name is Taron Southern. I wanted to share my experience regarding some Ettore's cleaning supplies I purchased at Family Dollar on Forest Hill Boulevard in Green Acres. I bought them yesterday and attempted to return them today, but the staff informed me that returns or exchanges were not allowed. I reviewed Family Dollar's return policy in the pamphlet, which states that I can return items, but they refused. I have the receipt as proof of purchase. Any assistance with this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Approximately a year ago, I visited FD and encountered an unfortunate situation where an employee mistakenly called the police on me, suspecting me of shoplifting. Despite shopping at FD since it first opened on Four Seasons Blvd. in NC, I was embarrassed to be treated this way. I am a 63-year-old widow with no history of theft. I had a rolling suitcase containing my Goodwill purchases with me, which may have been a factor in the misunderstanding. Even after I willingly showed my receipts and items purchased from both Goodwill and Family Dollar to prove my innocence, I was informed that I am not welcomed to shop at FD anymore. It's disheartening to be treated this way when I have done nothing wrong.

I had a concerning experience at a store in Louisville, KY on Algonquin Parkway. While waiting in line, I overheard an employee talking to a coworker about hoping that someone gets arrested. The conversation continued, and it made me uncomfortable. After checking out, I realized I didn't have enough money to buy smoked sausage. When I offered to return it, the employee declined. However, as I was leaving, the same employee implied that they thought I might steal the item. I felt accused and disrespected. I visit this store daily and have never stolen anything. The disorganization, lack of stock, and rude behavior have convinced me not to return. I believe the employees involved in this incident should be fired. I am considering seeking legal advice because of how poorly I was treated.

I visited Family Dollar store number [redacted] located at [redacted] Sarno Road in Melbourne, Florida on January 19th around 4:20-4:30 p.m. I was shopping for dinner when a lady claimed loudly in front of other customers that I was trespassed and needed to leave. I questioned her about the accusation of changing price tags, to which I denied and asked for proof. The situation escalated when she threatened to call the police and refused to let me buy my items. Another customer, referring to the absurdity of the allegation, was also confronted and accused of being with me, even though they weren't. I felt humiliated as she followed me to the door, took pictures of me with her personal phone, and implied I was guilty without evidence. I believe this incident reflects poor customer service and inappropriate behavior. The lady, possibly named Hope with dark brown shoulder-length hair, should be held accountable and understand how to treat customers respectfully. This unprofessional conduct has deterred me from shopping there, despite being a regular customer. I request that if she accuses me, she should provide evidence and refrain from intimidating patrons. It is concerning that she took unauthorized pictures on her phone. I hope this matter is resolved promptly.

I recently shopped at one of your Family Dollar stores. After spending $[redacted] and having items totaling $[redacted], I was trying to adjust my purchase to stay within my budget. Unfortunately, an employee was rude to me when I asked for help. Despite staying polite, she accused me of being rude and made inappropriate comments. Although I reported the incident to the manager, the employee continued to be disrespectful and uncooperative. I believe this behavior should be addressed, especially since I was a customer spending a significant amount in your store. I would appreciate it if someone could reach out to me at [redacted]. Thank you.

I recently shopped at Family Dollar on Fayetteville Street in Asheboro, North Carolina. At the cash register, I placed all of my items on the counter after taking them out of the basket and my arms. I briefly set down my basket, grabbed a drink, then returned to the register to pay. Shortly after leaving, I received a text from the manager, Marie, accusing me of stealing dog food. Despite spending $47 and not purchasing dog food, I was accused without evidence. When I requested proof, they only showed a video of me leaving with my groceries and toilet paper, with no dog food in sight. The assistant manager insisted I was caught, yet made no attempt to stop me at the door. I am now banned from the store unjustly. I would appreciate a prompt response from HR or corporate to address this situation. It is unacceptable to be treated as a thief without proper evidence, especially after being a loyal customer. I can be reached at [redacted].

I have been trying to get in contact with someone for three days. I had a very upsetting experience at the Family Dollar on Fayetteville Street in Asheboro. I paid for my groceries and left the store, then was accused of stealing dog food on the way home. The manager messaged me on Facebook with this accusation, but when I asked for proof, they could not provide any evidence besides a video of me leaving with my groceries. Despite my insistence on seeing the supposed theft on camera, the manager kept accusing me without evidence. I spent $47 at the store and have never had issues there before. I would appreciate speaking with someone promptly to address this situation as I am upset by the mistreatment I experienced unfairly.

Good afternoon, my name is Amy D. I am reaching out regarding an incident at a Family Dollar store in San Antonio, Texas on Old Hwy 90 near Arlans Grocery store. I previously spoke with human resources and have a customer number, but I have not received any call backs or reimbursement for the incident. My purse, containing important documents and money, was mistakenly given to the wrong person, leading to a reported theft and inconvenience for my family. I urgently need assistance in getting reimbursed for replacing the lost property. Please provide me with the correct contact information to speak with a representative. The prolonged process, spanning over a year, is causing financial strain after losing valuable items, including social security cards. Thank you.

I bought three 6-packs of Sunkist on 3/15/[redacted], but was charged full price instead of the advertised sale price of three for eight dollars. When I questioned the cashier, they directed me to an ad taped on the counter. Despite showing my receipt and the ad, the cashier claimed they couldn't help as the manager was unavailable. On 3/18/[redacted], I returned to the store and spoke to a lady who identified as the manager. She insisted I return the products to get a refund, which seemed unreasonable since they have security cameras and the cashier could verify my purchase. I left feeling frustrated, having paid full price for a discounted item. The staff's lack of clarity and empathy was disappointing, especially given the circumstances. I have evidence of my purchase and receipt, and find it inconvenient to have to return the items during the pandemic.

I had a difficult experience at one of your stores when trying to return an electronic product I purchased yesterday. The lady was rude and unhelpful during the process, insisting I needed the card for other items I was returning even though I paid in cash. She claimed the refund went back on my card, which was not accurate. When I asked to speak to the manager, she said she was the manager, contradicting her earlier statement that the manager would only be available the next day. The way she treated me in front of other customers was unprofessional and offensive. I am currently in my car feeling upset about the situation. The store is located off Lamar in Arlington, Texas, and the lady's name is K E V O. I would like proper training for your staff to ensure customers are treated with respect and fairness. This experience has prompted me to consider leaving reviews on various websites to address the unacceptable treatment I received.

During my time as an employee at Family Dollar, I was a holding store manager waiting for the return of our store manager from workers' compensation. I was informed that my position was merely on paper and did not hold any real authority. Despite preparing for the store manager role and completing the necessary tests, I was not effectively trained. Instead, my manager began accusing me of theft, discussing this with coworkers and customers, and even making false accusations to the district manager. This hostile environment, coupled with racial slurs directed at me, made me feel like an outsider. Eventually, a replacement was hired without any official termination on my part. Despite reaching out to human resources multiple times, I did not receive any responses. The manager's behavior and connections are concerning, and I hope for a resolution, whether it's reinstatement at Family Dollar or employment at Dollar Tree or another similar store.

I have had a disappointing experience at your South Haven, Michigan store with two employees Aris G. and management Cory. Despite being a loyal customer, I felt disrespected and mistreated. During my recent visit, Aris made inappropriate remarks, and when I raised my concerns, Cory dismissed my complaint and accused me of lying. This behavior is unacceptable, and I am appalled by the lack of professionalism and customer service. As a result, I will no longer be patronizing your store, and I will be sharing my negative experience with others. The disrespectful actions of Aris and the dishonesty of Cory have led me to lose trust in your establishment. I urge you to review the security footage from my visit on 3-30-21 at 13:09:12 to see the truth of what occurred. It is disheartening to witness such behavior from your staff, and I hope that changes will be made to improve the customer experience at your South Haven store.

Every time I visit the Jonesborough store, the assistant manager, Stacy, threatens to call the authorities on the store manager's son for speaking loudly due to hearing issues. Interestingly, the store manager is my wife, Kristy Brackins. Last night, I needed to speak to my wife about our son. As I was leaving, Stacy came out, blocked my truck, and threatened to involve the authorities. This situation occurred because of a conversation between my wife and me regarding our son.
