Today, I encountered a member at the gym who became aggressive when I tried to use a machine he was occupying. Despite gym etiquette, he was uncooperative and even insulted me and my girlfriend. Another person who claimed to be a manager did not handle the situation properly, which was disappointing. I considered involving the police but wanted to notify the gym first. This behavior risks the gym's reputation, and if unchecked, could lead to more serious incidents. I hope the gym takes action to address this issue promptly to maintain a safe environment for all members.

Hello, my name is Sara C. and I am from the Dearborn location in Michigan. Two months ago, I contacted a manager to discuss canceling my membership due to a discrepancy in daycare services. When I enrolled, it was for a daycare suitable for a 6-month-old, but the reality was different. The daycare area was chaotic, with older toddlers mixing with infants, leading me to constantly worry about my daughter's safety. The room was cramped and often had an unpleasant odor. Having visited the gym for only a week after paying for three months, I attempted to cancel my membership but was informed that it was not possible due to the signed agreement. After speaking with the area director, Wendy, her response was dismissive and insinuated that I should have inspected the daycare beforehand. Despite promises to escalate the issue, I have not received any updates, and charges continue to be deducted from my account without the membership being canceled.

I was near the showers when a pool exercise group arrived for their class. Out of all of them, only two showered before entering the pool, which is concerning. There is no signage mandating showering before using the pool or hot tub. Please consider putting up signs to highlight this requirement. Also, could the management, who appears to change frequently, remind guests of the importance of showering to prevent body oils and lotions from contaminating the water? It would help avoid unnecessary shutdowns for cleaning.

I had a negative experience with the staff at the gym for wearing sandals unintentionally. Jordan, an employee, spoke rudely to me. When I pointed out others working out in socks, including off-duty staff, he claimed it was more comfortable for them. I felt unfairly treated, with different rules for different people, especially as I respect and follow the stated dress code of wearing enclosed shoes in the workout area. I am a 55-year-old man and refuse to be belittled by staff, particularly Jordan, at the Windsor facility. Being scolded in front of other members felt disrespectful and uncalled for.

I recently received promotional emails from Crunch without authorization. I noticed there is no unsubscribe link in the email, as per your privacy policy. When I tried to view the email online, it showed the details of a different person, not me. My name is not Rick Fender. This experience has left me with a negative impression as you expand into our market. Although your new facility is close by, I am hesitant to consider doing business with Crunch due to this issue.

I received an email on August 1st informing me that my account was overdrawn by $80. The next day, August 2nd, I tried to update my debit card information on the club's website after my previous card was stolen, but faced technical difficulties. Despite this, I managed to link my checking account and received four payment confirmation emails. Everything seemed fine until August 15th when I was notified of a $[redacted] charge, which was deducted from my credit card on August 16th. When I contacted the billing department, they explained that the extra $[redacted] charge was due to my account not being found. This confuses me as they managed to charge my credit card linked to the same account. I never authorized charges on my credit card, only my debit card. I am requesting an immediate refund of the $[redacted] discrepancy.

I recently accessed my military disability checking account on August 30, [redacted], and noticed charges from ABC Crunch on an account I rarely use. Despite contacting three different locations and speaking with three managers to address fraudulent charges for membership, late fees, and other charges, the issue persists. I spoke with David, the manager at the Lakeside, CA location, and he suggested meeting in person. However, when I arrived at the location, David was not there, and I was informed he would not return until Tuesday. I left a note with the front desk but received no response. I contacted my base legal office and the prepaid legal office at MCAS Miramar for assistance. I have scheduled an appointment with the legal office to rectify the fraudulent withdrawals from my account. Another member (LAK398487) has also faced similar issues with canceling the membership multiple times over the past year and a half. It appears that my situation is not an isolated incident based on information from social media and the BBB website.

I reached out via email regarding suspending my membership due to a serious injury. Unfortunately, the responses were delayed and I was informed that my account couldn't be frozen until October, with charges for September still applied. I can't use the gym due to my injury, so I don't see why I should pay for this month. I had a poor experience with customer service and no longer wish to continue my membership at this gym. I feel it's unfair to be charged for services I can't access, especially during this difficult time. I request that the payment for September be stopped and my account canceled. I have no intention of freezing it and wish to end my association with the gym after this ordeal. I hope someone can address this promptly to avoid further issues.

I reached out to Crunch customer service at [redacted] for assistance with canceling my account at the West Babylon, NY location. After being directed to speak with the local Crunch Manager, I contacted the gym and was informed that I needed to come in person to cancel. Despite the inconvenience as I was in the process of moving, I visited the gym and discussed my account cancellation with a female manager. I also inquired about a refund or pro-ration for the annual maintenance fee that was recently charged. The manager explained the policy, stating that fees are non-refundable if not canceled 10 days prior, which she mentioned is communicated when opening an account. Although I expressed my understanding, given the circumstances of moving, the manager maintained the gym's policy. This experience led me to question Crunch's ethics regarding charging annual maintenance fees, especially for those who won't use the services for a full year. The lack of flexibility in their policy may result in customers paying for services they can't utilize. The manager's response and lack of professionalism left me dissatisfied and reconsidering my future with Crunch.

I ended my gym membership in June as per the terms, with only one more month's charge expected. However, I've seen $29.99 deducted for the last two months instead. The person who cancelled my membership is now insisting he requested proof of cancellation, which I seem to have misplaced. He claims the charges are valid and cannot be reversed. Could someone please investigate to locate the cancellation proof in the system and assist with refunding the overcharged amount?

I experienced a concern at my local Crunch Gym in London, Ontario that I would like to address. I am a Peak Plus member utilizing the daycare for my 2-year-old. We have been using this gym's daycare since it opened, never having issues until now. There was an incident where my daughter threw a crayon, not condoning her behavior, but I was upset with how the daycare attendant handled it. When we arrived, my daughter was upset in a corner. The attendant made her stand there for a time-out, causing her distress. I believe it's my responsibility to discipline my child, and if this occurs again, I should be called to handle it. My daughter has asthma, and such stress could trigger an attack. This treatment is unacceptable, and I want it addressed.

Hello, my name is Yina Granobles. I signed up at Crunch Belle Isle on July 11th this year. Unfortunately, I've encountered several issues. The person who enrolled me, Mr. Rico VĂ©lez, didn't properly explain the gym's operations. He offered a 3-month contract with no freeze option or the ability to change the agreed-upon rate. I asked about freezing since I travel frequently, and he said it was possible after 3 months. He also didn't mention the restrictive 3-month contract. He persuaded me to pay $10 for a personalized trainer card. When I met with the trainer, Lenny Estrella, I wanted to try for a month, but he activated the contract without consent. Due to work commitments, I could only visit 4 times. When I inquired about stopping the charges, Mr. Rico claimed the contract couldn't be altered. I am disappointed by the deception and unauthorized charges. I request a refund for the unwanted membership. Thank you for your assistance. Regards, Yina Granobles. I have been using Crunch in Huntington Valley, PA [redacted] for around two years, and this summer, I have observed a significant decline in cleanliness. The floors are consistently dirty, especially in the yoga area where I attend classes twice a week. Other gym members or I have had to sweep the floors as the staff neglects this task. The bathrooms are also in poor condition, sometimes with human waste left for days. When I inquired, I was told there is no janitor, which has been an ongoing issue. Recently, the uncleanliness became so unbearable that I didn't feel comfortable laying my yoga mat on the floor, and even after showing the staff, no action was taken. The lack of cleanliness, including the unattended hydro massage mat, due to the janitorial issue, is disappointing, and I may have to consider finding a new gym if this persists. It appears the staff should prioritize cleaning to maintain the gym's standards.

I joined Crunch Belle Isle on July 11th this year. I wasn't informed about any contracts when I signed up, and I believed I was only agreeing to monthly payments. I also signed up with Coach Lenny Star for three months without my explicit consent, thinking it was just for a month trial. My payments totaling $96 were made on July 16 and August 23, while an unexpected $[redacted] was taken on September 9th with another $96 on September 10th, which the gym claims is a late payment. Due to work commitments, I haven't been able to use the gym since signing up, so I'd like a refund of the $[redacted] wrongly deducted. I wish to cancel my contract with Mr. Lenny Star. Thank you for your prompt attention.

Hello, I am reaching out to share my recent experience with personal training. I began sessions in February at your Fall River location for three months. As a single mom working two jobs, committing to another monthly payment was challenging, but I did it for my health. My trainer Miranda was great, but she left before my final session. After a break due to a back issue, I returned to training. However, to my surprise, I discovered $[redacted] monthly charges on my credit card for the past five months, even though I wasn't training. Upon contacting the gym, I was informed about the cancellation policy in the contract, which I wasn't aware of. The manager mentioned the former trainer's departure and the difficulty in issuing refunds. This situation has left me feeling deceived and upset. I hope to resolve this and have the charges credited back to my card. Thank you for listening. Best, Shannon

On September 23, [redacted], my spouse tried to attend a spin class at Crunch in Norman, OK but found the daycare closed. The facility lacks clear customer communication which is frustrating. Customer service is unreliable here as employees' actions are dictated by the owner, causing inconsistency. The owner's approach to refunds is concerning, as witnessed during a recent incident. What was once a fantastic and clean gym upon its opening has deteriorated. The current state is unpleasant, with unhygienic bathrooms that even have mold and reported unsanitary conditions in the women's shower area. Considering moving to a different gym seems like a viable option for my family's fitness needs as there are many alternatives available. #nojudgement #unclean #badowner

Subject: Concern about Gym Atmosphere Hello, I wanted to address an issue that has been bothering me regarding the gym experience. Over the past three years of my membership, I have noticed instances of frequent swearing, particularly from an individual who seems to be either the owner or operator of the gym. During my workout this morning, I observed this person conversing with a staff member near the water fountain. He was discussing the posted rules on the wall, covering up the "no profanity" rule and stating, "I don't give a care about this one." This consistent use of inappropriate language does not align with professional conduct and reflects poorly on Crunch Fitness. While occasional slip-ups happen, it seems like this individual's behavior is a regular occurrence. I hope that he can uphold the same standards for language that paying members are expected to follow. Thank you, M.S.

I am reaching out on behalf of myself and other motorcycle riders who frequent the gym. We typically park our bikes by the bicycle rack for safety, as parking in the lot away from sight can be risky due to motorcycle thefts in Florida. However, on September 26th, the management informed me that we are no longer allowed to park there. I believe there should be a designated parking area for motorcyclists to ensure our safety. If theft occurs in the lot, will Crunch take responsibility? I am contacting you to bring this issue to corporate's attention and will seek legal advice if necessary. Thank you for considering this matter. Sincerely, W. U. Email: [redacted]

I would like to share my experience at Crunch. I recently encountered a matter with a new personal trainer at the FiDi location that I found unsettling. As a long-time member, it bothers me when new trainers consistently approach me to offer free training sessions. During a recent encounter, a new trainer inquired about my age, and upon learning I was 41, she proceeded to comment that she could tell I was in my 40s. This exchange felt completely inappropriate and unnecessary as my age should not dictate my ability to train or be judged upon. Furthermore, I maintain a higher level of fitness than the new trainer and found her approach off-putting. I appreciate Equinox's approach where trainers provide guidance and suggest exercises without the pushiness for sign-ups. This method encourages me to consider training sessions with them. The constant pressure from new personal trainers for sign-ups is disruptive and diminishes my overall gym experience at Crunch.

I need assistance from someone in accounting to reverse a charge on my credit card. The gym located at [redacted] Sunset in LA is connected to this charge. I have updated my billing information from Chase Freedom to Capital One Card. I want the pending charge to Chase reversed and have it applied to my Capital One Card. Other companies have helped me with this in the past, but the person on the phone stated it could not be done, which I believe is incorrect. It is important that I speak with someone who can rectify this situation promptly. Thank you.
