Calling Fanatics had some positives and one slight negative, with the positives relating to the customer service and the negative being a connection issue. When I dialed, I was asked to choose whether I was placing a new order or dealing with an existing one, and I said I'd be placing a new order.
The automated system moved me forward and told me that my call would be answered as soon as possible. That happened within a minute, although I couldn't understand the greeting that the customer service representative offered. The connection broke up at that moment, resulting in a garbled mess. I chose to go ahead with the call anyway and asked the representative what the speed was for shipping once I placed an order.
To my surprise, the call worked as intended. The representative said that the speed would depend on several factors, such as whether the item was in stock and whether Fanatics was working with a trusted partner to ship the item or had it available on their own. In either case, she said that I could check on the website for the item in question and it would tell me what kind of speed it would take for shipping.
I asked her if there was any extra charge for shipping items to Hawaii, and she said that there was not. No matter where the destination was in the United States, as long as I used the Fanatics US website, I wouldn't get charged extra based on the destination of my item. She said that if I wanted faster shipping speeds, I would get charged higher prices, but I wouldn't have to worry about a higher price for shipping items to Hawaii if I used the standard speed.
She asked if I was looking at the items in question, and I told her I was. She then asked what device I was using to access the Fanatics website, and I told her I was on my laptop. She then told me to take a look at where it was labeled in green as to what the shipping speed and cost might be. I told her that at the moment, everything was saying free shipping because of a Fanatics promotion, and she said that I could go beyond that to check the speed of the shipping.
I saw that it said one day and told her that, and she said that would mean that it would leave Fanatics' warehouse in one business day and should arrive soon after. I thanked her for the information, and she asked if there was anything else she could help with. I told her there wasn't and ended the call, with her thanking me for calling.
Overall, I thought this was a pleasant, helpful call, with the only negative being the connection problem when I connected with the representative. Once that was over, I got all my questions answered with ease. Based on this experience, I'd check the connection first, but I'd definitely use this number.
