What are the hours and when should I call?

Wayfair operates the call center for this 877-929-3247 phone number 24 hours, 7 days. The short answer is that you should call on a Sunday. This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 6,974 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Wayfair phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like Wayfair staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.

My Experience Calling 877-929-3247

Feb 6, 2024

This line is a service number set up for customers of the online retailer Wayfair. Some online retailers have a reputation for being difficult to get a hold of via phone. However, I was able to quickly connect with a customer representative to make a change to an order I had recently placed.

When I called, I was greeted with a short and sweet automated message that offered only two options: receive assistance with an already existing order or place a new order. Although it’s sometimes helpful to have a lot of choices, it was nice to encounter an online menu that seemed specifically designed to route your call to the appropriate place as quickly as possible. It took less than 30 seconds from dialing to get my call pointed in the right direction.

The intent of my call was to speak with a customer rep about a set of bed pillows I had recently purchased. I was hoping to change the delivery location, having realized I wouldn’t be home to receive the delivery on the appointed day.

After selecting the menu option dedicated to already existing orders, the automated system informed me that it was having trouble pulling up my order. Wayfair’s automation software evidently recognizes customers by phone number and attempts to match that number to your existing order. I had placed my order via cell phone but was making this call from my work number.

I was prompted to enter the number I had used for my order. Upon doing so, I was connected to a customer rep within seconds. The rep was extremely friendly and had the details of my most recent order pulled up very quickly. I asked if it was possible to change the delivery address on the order. Fortunately, my pillows had not yet shipped, and the rep was able to easily make the switch.

My experience calling the Wayfair customer service line couldn’t have been much simpler. I was able to accomplish my goal in less than five minutes total. Should a call to Wayfair be unsuccessful, the company also provides chat-based customer assistance via its website. Both this phone line and the chat-based assistance are available to customers from 8 a.m. to midnight EST on weekdays, with slightly shorter service hours on weekends.

Based on my call to Wayfair, I would certainly feel confident calling this number again to receive customer assistance with an order. The entire experience was streamlined from start to finish, with each part of the system seemingly designed to deal with common order-related questions and requests as quickly and efficiently as possible.

More Ways to Contact Wayfair Customer Service

Live Chat
If phone-based customer service is not available, or the wait times are long, many people prefer chat as a next-best option. Some even prefer it to calling on the phone. Luckily, Wayfair provides this option.
Email
Corresponding with a customer service department by email may not be your first choice, especially if your issue is urgent or time-sensitive. But email is a nearly ubiquitous form of communication, and Wayfair will reply our your email.
Wayfair's website
As a last, sometimes only, resort- Wayfair customer service can be accessed through their website. This can entail digging through help articles before finding a form and "being allowed" to submit a problem to their team, and rarely leads to a real-time conversation, which is why GetHuman does not recommend this unless it's the only way.
