My Experience Calling 800-822-6235

Calling Taco Bell can be difficult because of some odd hours, as this number is available between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you call outside of these hours, the automated system suggests for you to visit the Taco Bell website to get information about nutrition, locations, gift cards and the loyalty program.

The system does say that it can assist you if you have questions even if you can't talk to someone, but its assistance is of poor quality. Each time that you try to get information, the "assistance" is simply the system telling you that you can find the information you wanted on Taco Bell's website.

I tried in two different ways and found myself unable to get anything beyond that message. The first time, I decided to ask about gift cards. The system gave me a generic message about how I could go to TacoBell.com and purchase a gift card there, or I could fill out a form on Taco Bell's website. I then called back and tried to ask for information about nutrition, but the system again told me that I could get all of my questions about nutrition facts at Taco Bell's website.

At that point, your only options are to either hang up or go back and try something else. There's no way to ask for a link to the site, and the system doesn't offer it. Based on that, I was very unimpressed with the automated system. It's clear that Taco Bell wants to push people toward its website, which is fine. But it shouldn't give the impression that it can give help when it's only going to suggest going to the website. This setup cuts out anyone without reliable internet, and based off of it, I would not use this number unless absolutely certain its offices were open.
