GoDaddy operates the call center for this 866-938-1119 phone number 24 hours, 7 days. The short answer is that you should call on a Tuesday. This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 203 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this GoDaddy phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like GoDaddy staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.
The least busy time to call
The least busy day to call GoDaddy is Sunday. The most busy day to call is Thursday, which averages 223% more phone calls by comparison. Again, this is based on a sample of 203 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

My Experience Calling 866-938-1119

Jan 10, 2024

Calling GoDaddy is an interesting experience, as this is one of the most upbeat companies I've ever contacted for customer service. GoDaddy cultivates an atmosphere of positivity and helpfulness from its automated system, as the menu goes well beyond the standard explanation of where each button press takes you.

When I called, I was given five choices, with each one coming with an explanation of how GoDaddy was happy to help out. I selected the option for establishing a GoDaddy account and a website, and the system told me that it would connect me to someone who could get me started. Before moving me over to a representative, I was asked if I wanted to switch off the music while I waited. I opted to leave it on and waited about five minutes before I was connected to a representative.

Once connected, I was asked for the purpose of my call and my customer number. I said I didn't have a customer number because I was looking at securing a domain name through GoDaddy. Apparently, I used the wrong wording, because the representative thought that meant I wanted web security instead of getting a new web address until I explained my meaning.

Once I did, he confirmed what the price would be for a few different options for a domain name, along with determining whether the domain name I wanted was available. I asked what the cost was for each domain name, and he explained that the price would depend on which domain name I chose and how long I reserved the name for. I could reserve the name for anywhere from one to 10 years, and the representative said that I'd get a discount if I went longer than a year.

The representative also suggested that if I was ready to make a long-term commitment to getting a site, I could choose a package where I'd have security on my site as well as an email address. However, the rep said this wouldn't be worth it if I wasn't ready for a long-term commitment. If I wasn't sure if the site would last longer than a year, I'd be better off getting the one-year deal.

I told him that he'd given me a lot to think about and that I would need to take some time to consider everything. He said that was fine and offered me his email address. He said emailing him at the provided address would allow me to jump back into our discussion from this call. I thanked him, and he said he looked forward to welcoming me to GoDaddy.

Overall, I thought this was a great phone call. The system creates a positive experience from the beginning, and the representative was helpful without being pushy. The rep was even honest enough to explain that depending on the situation, the cheaper option might be better for me.

Based on this, I would absolutely use this number for assistance in the future.

More Ways to Contact GoDaddy Customer Service

There are of course other ways to contact GoDaddy customer service besides the phone. Below we list the best ones, by medium.
Live Chat
https://www.godaddy.com/help/contact-us - Customer Service
Click "Chat with us?" in the upper right
If phone-based customer service is not available, or the wait times are long, many people prefer chat as a next-best option. Some even prefer it to calling on the phone. Luckily, GoDaddy provides this option.
GoDaddy's website
As a last, sometimes only, resort- GoDaddy customer service can be accessed through their website. This can entail digging through help articles before finding a form and "being allowed" to submit a problem to their team, and rarely leads to a real-time conversation, which is why GetHuman does not recommend this unless it's the only way.
