In fact, much of this information on this page is superfluous because this Ford phone number is a direct line to a human being. The line is well-staffed and you should anticipate a very short wait on hold or none whatsoever, as long as you are calling during business hours.
We don't know of any phone menus you would encounter when calling either.

What are the hours and when should I call?

Ford operates the call center for this 888-781-7319 phone number Mon-Fri 8am-5pm ET. The short answer is that you should call on a Tuesday. This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 708 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Ford phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like Ford staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.
The least busy time to call
The least busy day to call Ford is Tuesday. The most busy day to call is Wednesday. Again, this is based on a sample of 708 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.
The shortest wait on hold
We measured the shortest hold times to be on Monday. The longest wait in the queue on average occurs on Tuesday.
The best time to call
In summation, the best day to call Ford is Tuesday. This is not the day with the shortest wait on hold in the phone system, but we still recommend it for its ideal combination of low call volume and short hold times. Plus we believe that Ford staffs the call center well on Tuesday.
Once again, please put this information in perspective because this phone number has no phone menu or long waits. It generally gets picked up right away if calling during their opening hours. If there is any way, it will typically be very short.

My Experience Calling 888-781-7319

Jan 3, 2024

Ford's 888-781-7319 phone number seems to be used for the Ford Motorsports and racing division of the Ford Motor Company, known as Ford Performance, and it couldn't be used for anything during the holidays. Given that Ford Performance really doesn't have a lot to do until the running of the Daytona 500 in February, it makes sense that the company's personnel would take off for an extended break at the end of the year.

It's also clear that this number isn't meant for the average customer, because it don't offer any kind of automated menu for anyone to navigate through. When the office is closed for the holiday season, there's no way to interact with anyone from Ford Performance. When I called this number, I was immediately taken to the automated message, which said the offices of Ford Performance were closed.

Since I'd made my initial call after business hours, I decided to call back again on Monday to see if that was just a standard greeting for after hours. This time, I was told that the offices of Ford Performance were closed for the holidays, and I would need to call back another day after the company had returned to work. There was no indication of when that would happen or when I should call back; the system simply chose to hang up at that point with no further interaction.

Customers calling this number when it's not available don't have any menu to go to, don't have any way to reach Ford's other offices under the Ford Motor Company umbrella, can't leave a message or interact in any way. Your only option in this situation is to try your call again another time.

Given what Ford Performance does, the average person has no need to use this number anyway. It's not meant to connect with Ford's customer vehicles division; it's meant for those who use Ford vehicles for professional racing. Most people will never have a need for this number in their lives, and the people who will likely won't be calling until the racing season gets going anyway.

Obviously, given how this number operates and the lack of any options for customers, I can't recommend calling this number in most circumstances. The only exceptions are if you happen to own or drive a racing vehicle or you want to purchase a racing vehicle. If you're calling about anything besides the high-performance division of Ford's vehicles, you won't get any use out of dialing this number.

If phone-based customer service is not available, or the wait times are long, many people prefer chat as a next-best option. Some even prefer it to calling on the phone. Luckily, Ford provides this option.
Facebook / Messenger
https://www.facebook.com/ford/ - Customer Service
Use this link to connect with customer service through Facebook
Some customer service teams, like that of Ford, accept inquiries through Facebook Messenger. This is a good option if you have a Facebook account, and you may even be able to converse live with an agent this way.
Ford's website
As a last, sometimes only, resort- Ford customer service can be accessed through their website. This can entail digging through help articles before finding a form and "being allowed" to submit a problem to their team, and rarely leads to a real-time conversation, which is why GetHuman does not recommend this unless it's the only way.
