I bought an item on ebay. The item never arrived. I contacted the seller and received this email:*Ebay has screwed me royally and you, one of my * buyers, are collateral damage. This is a long story that has been ongoing for well over a month with ebay dragging their feet and fixing none of the serious problems with their new Managed Payments I and my buyers have. Here 's the short version facts. EBAY HAS YOUR MONEY. I have never received it which is why your item has not shipped. When you purchased the item eBay takes your money and with this new Managed Payments is suppose to send it to my bank account instead of PAYPAL where I would receive it in less than ** SECONDS not the typical *-* days that is the deal with the new MANAGED PAYMENTS. They did do that but my bank refused to accept it because ebay never verified my account information liker ALL ONLINE AUCTIONS DO when you sign up and want to bid on their items. What normally happens with these online auctions is that you give them your banking and*or credit card information and they deposit or charge your card a few cents to make sure you bank info and * or your credit card info is legit and it works., then they refund you the amount they charged. Ebay DID NOT do it that way. They just took my information and sent me an email saying that I have been accepted in the Managed Payments. But I was not. So buyers were allowed to buy my items (* different buyers), ebay was taking their money and trying to deposit it into my account without any verification. So in short ebay has the money from the * items that sold and have done nothing. I was on the phone for hours, * different days with * different customer service people, of which none could figure out how to fix the problem. The last guy had me on the phone for ** minutes and told me in was stupid to stay on the phone and that they would call back when they figure out the problem.That was about * weeks ago and I haven't heard a thing from them. So eventually they shut down my account so that I could not relist, revise or post any items. A bit too late since they allowed you and * other buyers to purchase items. Now here's the thing that is going to blow your mind. I have * accounts on ebay, one was for drums and percussion, and the other one which you bought from was for everything else. THAT ACCOUNT IS WORKING FINE WITH NO PROBLEMS!!!! I'll repeat that so you will know it's not a typo.. THAT ACCOUNT IS WORKING FINE WITH NO PROBLEMS!!!!*I have the same legal name, I have the same one and only bank account and credit card, I have the same address, phone * etc. I filled out the MANAGED PAYMENT forms for both eBAy accounts the EXACT SAME WAY with the EXACT SAME INFORMATION. The drum account is working fine, the other account is fucked up. As of January **** eBay had * million sellers in the US and *** million buyers worldwide. They don't give a **** about me or you. If they can't fix a problem they just abandon it because we don't matter. If you have questions I will answer them for you otherwise I have no idea what you can do to fix this. You want to spend hours on the phone with them be my guest, they are absolutely useless if their computer system can't solve problems. Ting
