I purchased items on eBay for myself, family, friends, and residents in my housing community. While most transactions were smooth due to my positive history as a buyer on eBay over several years, I encountered some sellers who tried to take advantage by selling items that were not as described, damaged, or defective. Whenever faced with such issues, I contacted eBay Customer Support for assistance as they assured me of their "money back guarantee." However, I recently faced a frustrating situation when I received an email accusing me of "abusing their return policy" without any means to defend myself. Despite providing evidence of the damaged items, I felt unsupported and unfairly treated by eBay. This experience has made me wary of relying on eBay's buyer protection programs and serves as a cautionary tale for others dealing with similar challenges. Be cautious when using eBay as their system meant to safeguard buyers can sometimes backfire, leaving customers vulnerable to unjust repercussions.

I purchased a Yocan Uni from the seller "thedaily_plug" on August 14th. I made the payment through PayPal, paying $17.40 to the seller and some change to eBay for taxes. Both PayPal and eBay show the payment as complete, and the seller marked the item as shipped. However, they did not provide a tracking number. The seller later claimed I hadn't completed the payment, so I sent screenshots proving otherwise. After contacting eBay customer service and receiving instructions to confirm with the seller, I reached out again. The seller said they would address the issue but has not responded since then. I am still awaiting a tracking number for my order, which was supposed to be delivered by August 22nd but has yet to be shipped.

I am about to turn 90 in a few weeks - that's my reason for reaching out. I've found myself in quite a mess. It used to be so simple - American Express would take over and fill in all my details after I chose my purchases. Recently, I've been struggling to make some purchases. One site instructed me to use PayPal for a secure transaction. When prompted for my password, I couldn't recall it. I requested a password reset, but none of my emails ([redacted] or [redacted]) were accepted. The first email was deemed invalid, and the second was rejected as already in use - end of discussion. I tried once again with American Express, but items I had viewed and liked were automatically added to my cart, so I left the website. Could someone assist this confused elderly lady, please? Thank you, Marion D.

Hello, I have been a regular buyer on Ebay since [redacted]. I tried to sell some items but had problems with non-payment for a Givi motorcycle bag totaling £4.00. I requested an investigation as it seems the payment was sent elsewhere. On 16/08/[redacted], two items were sold without me receiving any cash or it being deposited into my account. Ebay's system indicated the sale and attempted to apply fees and insertion charges of £2.20. I do not have a computer at home and struggle to navigate the site. I believe, with assistance, I have canceled these transactions. Could you please verify this for me? I do not wish to sell on Ebay anymore due to the hassle and will not pay fees for unsold items. I hope you can assist with resolving my issues and returning the £4.00 to my account. Thank you for your time. - G. Newton, 19/08/[redacted].

I recently encountered a situation where a buyer alleges non-receipt of an item I shipped, which was sent without tracking due to its nature and cost. This practice is common among eBay buyers, and I have also resorted to it previously without problems. eBay's quick ruling in the buyer's favor establishes a concerning standard, especially for sellers of inexpensive or compact items, and those unable to always use tracking. It also creates an opportunity for fraudulent individuals to exploit the system to acquire items without paying for them.

On the 23rd of April, £89.00 was debited from my bank account by a company called ULTRAMQ. Despite speaking to a representative who assured me of a refund within 21 days, I have not received the money. Attempts to reach them by phone at [redacted]8 have been unsuccessful. I am seeking assistance in getting the refund as promised.

I recently had to change my password due to someone using my information. Initially, I received positive feedback, but later discovered 17 negative comments starting from May 27. Paul, who removed one negative comment today, claimed he couldn't remove the others. This situation is concerning as I value my long-standing relationship with the seller. If this isn't resolved, I fear I may not be able to make purchases in the future. I believe the negative comments may be linked to a previous issue with the seller's ex-girlfriend, who has a history of causing trouble. I also don't understand why my supposed private feedback is accessible to everyone according to the seller. Any assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I made a purchase on Jul 09, [redacted] for a "GA-A320M-S2H (AMD Ryzen AM4 / MicroATX 2xDDR4/ HDMI/ Realtek ALC887/ 3xPCIe/ Gen" from the seller "lukhyi_18". After the seller marked the order as shipped, I requested a tracking number, but received a vague response to wait. Despite multiple follow-up messages, I never obtained the tracking number. I mistakenly opened a return request, even though I never received the item due to non-shipment by the seller. After realizing my error and closing the initial case, I tried to open a new one correctly without success. The seller has now closed their account on eBay.

As a seller, when I listed a textbook on eBay, the information was autofilled but now the buyer wants to return it because the ISBN does not match. The book is a loose-leaf paperback, despite the autofilled ISBN for a hardcover edition. The listing clearly stated it was a paperback edition, which the buyer may have overlooked. I am hesitant to accept the return as I do not usually allow returns and the item matches the description provided. What should I do in this situation?

Hello, I would like to share a link to an item I was interested in purchasing on eBay. The seller had multiple items for sale, including a rare blue Agee Pyrex flannel flowers bowl. I was particularly interested in a tangerine-colored Agee Pyrex, but unfortunately, it seems the listing I was eyeing is the only item left from the seller. Despite being the only bidder with a reserve, I was unable to secure the highest bid. This has left me feeling frustrated as this rare Agee Pyrex has been on my wishlist for a while. The sale was supposed to conclude this morning, and it appears all the items listed are now gone. I did not receive any notification about being outbid or the sale ending. I am curious about why the seller removed their items and why my bid was not accepted. Any insights into this situation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support. Regards, C.H.

Hello, I recently sold a LIMANIA Horn Gramophone to a buyer with the ID # [redacted]28. Before shipping it, I checked the item and unfortunately found that the spring was damaged. I promptly issued a refund and believed that canceled the sale. To my surprise, I received negative feedback from the buyer, who even resorted to calling me names. I requested the removal of the feedback, but the buyer refused my offer to fix the gramophone and resend it. I believe I have acted fairly and professionally, and I kindly ask for the removal of the feedback. I strive to always find the best solutions with my buyers, but in this situation, I feel mistreated. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

On August 10, I bought a weather station from user keena-[redacted]. Following an email from them claiming it was damaged and offering to stop the PayPal charge, I received the product one week later and suspected something was wrong with the account. Keena-[redacted]'s account is now inactive. Then, on August 23, I unexpectedly received a $1,[redacted].00 treadmill. Subsequently, on August 26, user inman81963 contacted me, mentioning the error and proposing to sell the treadmill for $[redacted] via a PayPal account at [redacted] However, I couldn't verify inman81963 as an eBay member. Both accounts were created close together, indicating a connection. inman81963 likely obtained my shipping address and eBay username from keena-[redacted]. I haven't engaged with inman81963 regarding the treadmill purchase. I also reached out to customer service at Icon Health and Fitness in Utah. They provided me with some details related to the purchase such as the last four digits of the card used and the account name GOUVIS. The email address associated with the order is [redacted], and the card's address is from Port Jefferson Station, Long Island.

After purchasing an item from the seller 'cherryandmore,' I was informed of a hole in the item and agreed to a refund. I then noticed a similar item from 'alipapastore,' and after making a payment, received the exact same message about a defect. I provided them with photographic evidence of both instances. This deceitful practice is unacceptable, and as a loyal eBay customer with [redacted]% positive feedback, I am frustrated. I have not yet received refunds for items [redacted]44 and [redacted]05. This behavior of misleading buyers should not be permitted on this platform.

Dear Support, I am currently stationed at HKIA U.S. Army base in Kabul, Afghanistan, and I encountered a problem with my eBay account. I initially tried to purchase two ballistics helmets using my email [redacted]; however, my account was banned and suspended without any explanation. Upon switching to my secondary email [redacted], I successfully made a purchase and received a confirmation email of the order being shipped. Unfortunately, shortly after, I received emails indicating my order was bid on and that my account was banned and suspended once again. I am bewildered by these actions and frustrated as I have already paid for the helmets. I urgently request for my account to be reinstated and the purchased items to be delivered promptly. Sincerely, LT COL Kopulety

Good morning, I am facing a significant issue. I am currently stationed in Afghanistan on the HKIA U.S. Army base in Kabul. I attempted to purchase two ballistic helmets from eBay. Upon creating an account with my primary email, [redacted], my account was banned and suspended without any explanation as I began shopping. Concerned that the issue might be related to my Czech email ending in ".cz," I created a new eBay account using my secondary email, [redacted] This time, I successfully placed an order for the helmet and promptly paid with PayPal. I even received a confirmation email that the order was shipped (see attached screenshot 1). To my frustration, I received two more emails from eBay the same day. The first indicated my order was bid on, and the second stated my account was banned and suspended again (see attached screenshots 2 and 3). Without any justification. My questions are: 1) What is going on? 2) Where are my two ballistic helmets? 3) How is it possible when the payment was processed from my bank account? Please, reinstate my account and deliver the items I paid for! Sincerely, LT COL Kopulety

Hello, I appreciate any assistance you can provide. On July 13th, I won two auctions from a single seller who combined the totals without notifying me. After returning from a weeklong trip on the evening of July 23rd, I collected the held boxes from the local post office on July 24th. Upon inspection, I discovered one broken item. Despite emailing the seller immediately, they questioned the delayed notification. As eBay policy promises a full refund for broken items, I requested the same, totaling $30.39. eBay initially advised waiting for a decision, which later changed to offering a $12 coupon instead of the shipping refund. Reluctantly, I used the coupon on another purchase, only to find it not accepted on an attempted transaction before its expiration. Despite my efforts to resolve the issue with the seller, eBay's customer support proved unhelpful and confusing, leaving me feeling cheated out of $13.40. I seek a straightforward resolution with the credited amount returned to my account, bypassing the coupon option. Thank you for your attention.

Hello, I would like to report an issue regarding a purchase I made on August 5th, [redacted] from a seller with the account name (a64ukor825_3). I bought a Mobile Gimbal and paid via Paypal. However, as of this date, I have not received the item and the tracking number provided is either incorrect or not traceable. Upon reviewing my purchase history, I noticed that the seller changed the item I purchased to Welding tools, which I did not order or have any use for. I have reached out to the seller about the delayed shipping, refund, and the change of item, but have not received any response. I suspect the seller has manipulated their ratings using multiple accounts to appear trustworthy. It is clear to me that this seller is engaged in fraudulent activities. I kindly request your assistance in contacting the seller to secure a refund for the Mobile Gimbal I purchased. Additionally, I urge you to take action against the seller's account to prevent further fraudulent behavior. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Best regards

I purchased (3) $6 million for Xbox One from taq_gta_xbox_services, but my order was cancelled without my request for buying more than one at a time. I have screenshots showing the cancellation, but I haven't received a refund back to my Mastercard yet. This kind of situation is unacceptable, and scammers like this need to be stopped. As a bilateral amputee, gaming is crucial to me, and being taken advantage of like this is really disappointing. Can someone assist me with getting my money back as soon as possible?
