I was trying to return an incorrect item so the seller would send the correct item or issue a refund. ... I purchased an item from ebay seller wallyson***, and was sent the incorrect item. I initiated a return with the seller, the seller accepted my return request—specifically saying, "we will issue a full refund to you as soon as we get the item from you ,plz do not worry ,we are the honest ebay seller*sic*”. I shipped back the item at my own expense, as eBay instructed me to do, well before the deadline, and submitted the tracking information and waited. Fast forward a few weeks later: I received an email yesterday from eBay saying they've closed my case and won't issue me a refund. No explanation as to why. When I submitted an appeal, I got within a few minutes another denial—eBay says they can take up to ** hours. They didn’t take ** minutes to review my case, so I know they didn’t actual review my case properly. So now I’m out of the item I purchased, out of the shipping fees, and eBay and wallyson*** have my money.
I sent the item expecting a refund or replacement item. I expect either my money back or the correct item shipped to me.
I have been using eBay to buy and sell goods for over ** years. I had been getting frustrated by their their increasingly anti-seller policies, oversaturation of junk products, and overall decline in shopping experience in recent years. Now when I actually could have benefitted from their so-called Buyer Protection guarantee, they decided to assist in defrauding me my money instead.
