The issue in GetHuman-harns's own words
I sold the following item:*Air Jordan Retro ***(************)**********- buyer left the following positive feedback: Fast shipping! Exactly what I was looking for. Thank You!**********- buyer initiated return: These shoes don’t seem authentic.. in size **.* and these fit a bit tight**********- my message to the seller: These are an authentic retro from ****. Shoes, box, and retro card are all authentic. I can not be responsible for how the shoe fits you. The size of the shoe and size on the box are exactly as were listed. Please keep in mind these shoes are ** years old and that there were plenty of pictures offered as well as a no return policy listed. I have never sold a non authentic item. There are plenty of places online to compare*check the authenticity of the sneakers purchased.**********- my message to eBay: The buyer received his product, left favorable*positive feedback, describing the item as exactly what he was looking for. He then decided that the size **.* did not fit him the way he wanted it to, so he is claiming the shoes are not authentic. I have reached out to the buyer to let him know that the shoes, retro card, and original box are all authentic from **** when the shoes were first made available as retros. I can not be responsible for how a shoe fits somebody. Additionally the original sale was marked as no returns available. It makes no sense that the buyer would provide positive feedback and then make an outlandish accusation that the shoes were non-authentic. The shoe and box both have the original markings and serial numbers and if they buyer so chooses he can verify them as authentic. The size of the shoe was correctly listed on the original listing and the buyer received the shoes in the correct size, as advertised. There is no reason this sale should affect my PayPal monies or my seller reputation, simply because the buyer changed their mind on how the shoe fits them. It is also outlandish to think that, because a shoe that is ** years old, does not fit the buyer, that it makes the product fake or non-authentic.**********- escalation because seller (me) did not respond: As you can see, and as is documented above, not only did I reply to the seller, I sent a message to eBay explaining the situation as well. Ultimately I have responded to the seller and did not receive a response at all and I have explained to eBay exactly what happened. As stated in my original message to eBay, it is ridiculous to think that a buyer would leave positive feedback about an item and then try to claim the item is non-authentic, simply because they do not like the fit. Behavior like this is detrimental to the entire eBay community and puts sellers such as myself at risk. I delivered an authentic, vintage item, in it*s original packaging and with all original accessories. I can not be held responsible for the buyer's claims simply because they changed their mind on the item.
