I am being threatened by an ebsy buyer that they are going to file a false dispute for an “item not as described” if I do not refund them, and pay their return shipping too- even tho the item was exactly as described. My description clearly described the item. It had all the details in it. It said that this item has gold tone hardware. **When I told them that it was clearly stated in the listing that the hardware is gold, Saod yo me (and actually put it in writing) that they “did not read the full description, end of story”. So after admitting to me that they did not really even read the description, they still said they will use the reason as item not as described in a dispute if I do not do what they want. **Now there are seller protections against the buyer abuse, but when I reported this abuse and even showed the rep where they said they never read the description, she told me that it’s just “best to do what the buyer wants and refund her and pay her shipping Bc if she files a claim or dispute they will probably just find in her favor and I will get a negative mark against me. **Excuse me? Since when are buyers allowed to use the system and file a false claim knowingly that the item IS AS described, but they do not care. They did not read the description by their OWN admission and then I am told that if they want to abuse the buyer protection system that o should just go along with it. **I work hard on ebsy. I describe my items fully. I put ** pictures on. My pictures of the item are exactly the same as every other seller’s pictures for the item and my description fully lists the details and the color of the hardware but then I am told that if the buyer chooses to LIE about the item, then I should just go along with it!! They put it in writing that they didn’t read the description and basically that’s fine. That’s NOT fine. If you don’t read the description then you can’t say it isn’t as described. Where are my seller protections. I bring in nearly $**** in ** days for ebsy and ebsy is paid handsomely for this. And then I am told that a buyer may abuse the system and get rewarded for it? And if I stand on my rights as a seller and say no you don’t get a refund and full return shipping For buyers remorse - and then they threaten me with a false claim - then I am told to just go along with it? **I want my seller protections respected. The buyer is being dishonest and fraudulent and I was told BY EBAY to just let them do it. I read the page of behaviors that buyers are not allowed to engage in and this buyer is doing them all, and when I report it I am told that it doesn’t matter that they are making false claims and yes the rep can see that they said they never read the description but it’s just “easier” this way. **And how does EBAY expect to maintain sellers when they let buyers make up any reason they want just Bc they changed their minds. Why are there even policies in place if they are not followed. The buyer is always right even IF THEY LIE about the product and even when the seller can PROVE from their description that the buyer was told that the tote HAS GOLD HARDWARE, the buyer gets away with saying - well I didn’t read the description so I didn’t know take- but give me my refund anyway or else!!! What in the name of heaven is this about? **Cannot common sense dictate that this buyer is not allowed to say that the item is not as described if they openly say they never read the full description? If this was Paypal they would say in a heartbeat that Your description tells exactly what color the hardware is and if they admit to not reading the description then of course they can claim that it is not as described!! It doesn’t take a person with much sense at all to reason this out. **And yet EBAY tells me that if the buyer makes that claim- even with proof against it- and with admitting they never read the description, well that’s A-OK. That buyer should be getting sanctions against them for such a dishonest fraudulent claim! And where is my protection against this? **Should sellers who bring in a lot of money for eBay just roll over when a buyer with zero scruples rears their ugly heads and screams item not as described just to knowingly circumvent the system and policies? **What do I want done? I want this buyer reprimanded. I want EBay to stand behind me when they can READ that listing and see that yes the description DID say the hardware is GOLD. And then tell the buyer that you MUST actually read the description to know this and don’t get to say - oh hey I didn’t read the full description but tough ****- I want my money back and I want you to pay my return shipping Bc I don’t have to follow the same rules as everyone else and actually look at the pics AND read the description. I didn’t do that end of story, now refund me and pay my shipping or I plan to ruin you as a seller!! **What do I want? I want a reasonable rep or manager to look into this and tell this buyer you have NO claim If you willingly admit you didn’t read the description! And I want to be treated fairly and respected for my seller rights. That is what I want. **Sincerely,*Shelly Walde- destyni.
