Help with my eBay issue

The issue and preferred resolution, in GetHuman-enas_me's own words:
I had purchased on eBay item (NEW ***% Authentic Rare MAC *piece BOHO Brush Set plus make up pouch ************). Upon receipt, I suspected the quality of the brushes so I Googled it online and found nothing like it on the surface of the planet. I took the item to the nearest MAC store and they confirmed that they had never issued such a series and that the item was a fake. *I emailed the seller who admitted that it was definitely a fake claiming that she had purchased it at some well-known store and was fooled as well. When she never got back to me I filed a case to eBay (**********). They replied telling me finally that I'll be issued a refund but that I had to return the item by **-May-****. By then I had left the US and objected as to why I had to pay for international ****pping when it's not my fault that one of their sellers sold a fake item to me!*I received a completely irrelevant response telling me that I was already sent a return label (obviously valid only in the US) and I replied to the email that I am no longer in the US and that it was not my fault that I received a fake item, basically, I wrote the whole thing again.. *No one responded. *I sent another email. Again, no one responded. I finally decided the heck with it I shall send the item at my own expense and the seller will get her karma back for all the people she deceived. *I go to the post office and mail the package via express courier and pay $** for it. And when I open my eBay account to update the tracking information on my return I get the shock of finding an email notification that the case has been closed, and that I will not be getting any refund!!!!! *JUST LIKE THAT!!!*No justification, no reason, no anything!! Pure injustice and unfairness and obviously siding with the seller of a fake item raises doubts about the integrity and honesty of eBay! *I appeal the case, and still, nothing, no response! *So now in the end, I purchased a fake item, I paid for it, and paid for ****pping it back, and I end up with neither the item nor the refund!! *And no one is responding or is even bothered with the case! I have never in my life seen worse customer service than this and i shall make sure this goes to the media and everyone knows what eBay truly is, nothing but a fraud.
I trust that eBay will make this right and come up with a resolution that is fair.
