I have complained about an iPod touch (Order no. **-*****-*****), which Apple has examined and declared defective. As you will see from the chain of e-mails being generated, the seller has agreed to exchange the item but also offered to send me a return address. However, I see from your website that returns direct to sellers are not allowed and, in any case, I would not be happy leaving eBay out of the loop.*I did respond to the seller, indicating a willingness to return the iPod and seeking a return address, since when I have clearly had second thoughts. I regret that I cannot find a copy of what I sent and, so far, the seller has not responded. Having already decided that any return would be best made via eBay I investigated how this is to be achieved.*Unfortunately, try as I may, I cannot see how to generate a return label* my attempts just send me in circles, round and round to the same starting point.*Can you arrange for a return label to be issued to me, please?*As it also seems impossible to contact eBay by telephone. My mobile is UK *************I have since sent a message to the seller via your website:*‘Please disregard my earlier response to your message of **March* I now realise that returns have to be managed via eBay.*I am happy to return the iPod touch recently purchased from you and to receive a working replacement of the same specification. With regard to colour I would be content with either back or silver.’
The frustration caused by total reliance on a website system of customer service that provides no service and, at least for me, is a complete failure. The lack of a chat facility and the advised customer service telephone number being nothing more than a 'voice mail' urging me to use the website* the very thing that is driving me nuts.
If you check the text of my latest message via Get Human, I think that it is clear that the note your system appended to my text (You did not yet indicate what eBay (UK) should do to make this right.) is incorrect.** I want to make an exchange for a working replacement.**. I would like the replacement to be either black or silver in colour**. I need a return label, which I have, so far, been unable to find how to access via your website and am now asking for you to send me.
Through my frustration, I have been forced to deal with the seller directly and to trust that he*she will keep their word.
