Hi - I noticed this morning that I didn't have ***% feedback and checked to see why. I received negative feedback after selling a set of antique ornate planters on *th May (************) - the seller didn't feel they were antique. I sent him two notes this morning. I bought the planters about twenty years ago from an antique fair and sold them in good faith listed as antique. If the buyer had contacted me after he received them to say that he was unhappy I would have accepted a return - I don't want an unhappy buyer. But he didn't - he just left very negative feedback and I had no opportunity to respond or provide a solution of any kind before he did that. I pride myself on having very positive (***%) feedback. I try to be a very good, fair and honest seller - and buyer. I just feel it was a bit unfair to have this feedback left when I had no chance to do anything about it. I actually would still have classed the planters as antique - I think they are at least ** years old - I bought them ** years ago and they were sold to me as antiques. The images on my listing were incredibly clear - the condition was clear to see. I packed them carefully - sent them off on time - I thought the transaction had gone really well until today when I saw the feedback. I sent the seller a note asking about his thoughts re retracting the negative feedback but haven't heard back. Is there anything EBay can do in this sort of circumstance? Are you able to remove negative feedback if it is left unjustly*unfairly? I feel it was unfair*unjust because: *) I would say that the planters were antique in the most general sense of the word - ie. quite old - therefore my listing was correct *) the buyer didn't contact me when he received the planters to express his thoughts and potentially ask to return the item and receive a refund. I would of course have accepted a return.*My feedback in all the years I have used EBay has been really excellent which is why I am so disappointed and upset about this.
