Roderick Wells ******@***.com****:** PM (** minutes ago)*to Zipcar**I was given a leeway until * p.m. by zipcard operator because my zipcar card would not open or lock my rental car. Because of that I was unable to complete the chores I had planned for the time period. I'm in Brooklyn, NY and while crime has been reduced I could not, in good conscience, leave the car unlocked, especially in some of the spots where I had to park. As a result, I could not drive anywhere at that time. I was further delayed when your operator told me I could use my app to unlock or lock the car--- but I didn't remember my password for the app and when I tried to change it, I was not allowed to because the app asked for my former password!!! I finally got an operator to lock and unlock the car, after, at her direction, trying multiple more times to use my card. This meant that I would have to call everytime I had to lock the car and then unlock it (the info said not to use the power locks). So I used my last hour and a half to return the car. When I got to the parking lot, oh crikey!, I did not have cell phone service. I had to walk * blocks to make the call to the next operator. He tried to lock the car multiple times but finally, when his efforts didn't work, told me to use the power locks. I spent ** minutes in the lot and the walk to cell phone service. This is my second trip in the past * weeks where I have encountered difficulties which destroyed the purpose of the rental. The last time I missed the funeral of my uncle in upstate NY. I am extremely (to say the least) disappointed by these ZipCar experiences. In the upstate rental, after the female operator said she would extend my hours because of the zipcar mishap so that I could make amends to my relatives, I recieved a call from a male operator asking why I hadn't returned the vehicle and when I told him to check my extension, he told me she had not left any notes to that effect. He was also rude, acting as though I was guilty of keeping the car over the time limit. It took me more calls to recieve the extension I was promised earlier. I don't know what else to say.

GetHuman-rikwelz did not yet indicate what Zipcar should do to make this right.
