Hello,**I recently reserved a zipcar for * days and was extremely disappointed with my experience. Upon entering the car for the first time I was greeted with trash, clothes, stains, and old food which had been sitting for who knows how long along with a strong cigarette odor. I understand that it is impossible to ensure that the cars are spotless but the I did expect the company to perform checks on the cars at least semi-regularly and it did not seem that way at all. When paying $**** for a car for * days I expect it to not be filthy. Additionally, there was no owners manual in the car, or at least not in a place that was easy to find. I ended up having to look up online tutorials to figure out how to work the AC and the headlights. This seems like a major safety and liability issue to me and again, I expected more from a $*** rental car. Finally, the car was in need of an oil change. This is completely unacceptable. A rental car should be well kept and up to date on all maintenance. If the engine had given out I could have been charged for this even though I had nothing to do with the issue. A rental car should not be filthy and full of stench, should have an easily accessible owners manual, and should be up to date on all maintenance. I found none of these qualities in my zipcar. I would like to request a refund as not only did I feel uncomfortable, but also unsafe.
