I reserved a Honda CR-V two weeks ago for yesterday and the car was not at the pickup place.**I waited for ** minutes before customer service answered the phone. I told them my problem and asked them to find out where my car was by calling the driver who had rented before me.**He did not know how to do that and told me there was another car I could have but it was *** of a mile away. BUT it was a Honda Civic not a CRV. I had ordered the CRV because the person that was traveling with me couldn’t sit in a regular car. **As it turned out I changed my plans and took this new car and found that the front right bumper was all smashed in.**I have been a zip car member for years and ***. I have never had a car not be available when I went to pick it up.* **. I have never experienced such lousy service, lack of knowledge and ability to help me at the time.***. I also have NEVER had to drive around in a car that I’ve paid for that was damaged in any way.**When I called customer service they said that the car should have been taken off list and fixed before being rented out again. But there was nothing they could do that these things happen and sometimes new drivers to zip car don’t know the rules.**I asked why is this my problem and they said it wasn’t but all they could do was take my complaint.**I have been a member for years and never had either of these problems before. It seems that Zipcar the company has lowered their standards and can’t do anything about their mistakes. This is unacceptable and not what I’ve been paying for.**I expect good service. I expect a decent car to drive and I expect the car to be there when I reserve it. This is just good business.
