Hi there -**Am currently stranded in Connecticut. Filled the tank with gas a few miles back and immediately had issues with the car. Used the zipcar gas card to pay - when I entered the mileage and my account number, the pump selected a fuel grade for me. Called zipcar over an hour ago - they still have not given me any sort of estimate for when the car can get serviced, although they said they’d let me know in ** minutes. I am in an unsafe parking lot in the middle of the night, and need to get about a four hour drive from here by the morning. If I leave the car I’m told I’ll get charged with abandonment, but it’s been over an hour since they said they’d let me know and I still don’t have an answer on how long I’ll have to wait for someone to show up (although they said it may be over an hour from when they do let me know...so at this point I’m likely spending upwards of * hours in a very unsafe parking lot.) they haven’t offered me any alternate travel options either, so I’m looking at paying an additional $*** or more to get a taxi to drive me where I need to go, assuming I can even get someone to pick me up. Not a good situation. I’m scared - not a safe place to be, and have zero sense of how much longer I need to remain here. Do not want to be charged any additional money, but I cannot stay in this lot through the night.
GetHuman-hanvansc did not yet indicate what Zipcar should do to make this right.
