Would like to understand why my property dropped in "Zestimate" value almost $**,*** in the past month. It has not dropped on other real estate sites and there has not been any activity in the area that would cause a drop in value such as this. Real estate is not gangbusters here, but it is not in a recession in this bay front town. I am at a loss as to the sudden extreme drop in value - other than me signing on to the Zillow website and updating some home facts - although those facts were positive - not negative. I also updated the photo on the Zillow website to a current photo of the home which showed all of the exterior updates since our purchase. This should have affected the value positively and raised the Zestimate - not lowered it.
I have tried to call Zillow - which is suggested - they don't answer.
Examining the current Zestimate and figuring out why it was lowered for no apparent reason - certainly not the current condition of the home or market trends in the town of Bowers Beach, DE.
I have made sure that all facts are correct and complete on the site for the home, and again, also added an updated photo of the home. Once I added the updated photo of the home, the next day the Zestimate started going down and it has contained to go down further for the past month.
