I was searching for a particular video (an interview with me) ... ... There is a YouTube channel in my name which I did not create. I would like this channel to be deleted please. There is only one *-second video posted: https:**www.youtube.com*watch?v*AjqsRhGRcrc. The language is unknown to me. No permission was sought for this, and I had nothing to do with it. Surely there should be some form of identity check for security purposes when someone creates a YouTube channel? Otherwise, as here, YouTube is tacitly potentially condoning a form of identity theft.**Please delete this channel.*And revise your procedures.
This discovery led me to wonder about YouTube's procedures in terms of security. It seems there is none. Any random person could create a channel in anyone's name. This is identity theft.
I want this imposter channel to be deleted.*I also want YouTube to put reasonable ID checks in place when someone creates a YouTube channel, to prevent further identity theft.
Since YouTube began have been watching videos, and also giving permission for others to post videos featuring me and my work in their content.
There is no way I can fix this myself.
