The issue in GetHuman-leemiln's own words
I was trying to skip forward in a video and accidentally clicked on a demonuk advert for Badlands. Then I later received a text message saying I had subscribed to their £* per week service. I then text "stop" to the number provided but I am still being charged £* per week.**This type of advert should not be allowed, and I would like a refund as I did not intentionally subscribe to their service, nor did I play the game. I don't trust Demon enough to contact them, since texting stop seems to have had no effect. As such I believe Google should provide the refund as they have ultimate responsibility on who they allow to advertise on their platform, and should be ensuring all adverts are safe, or at least provide a warming that they will automatically subscribe you to their service.**Happy to provide screens shots and evidence of the charges, and you're welcome to check my Play Store history to see that I didn't download their apps.**I will also be reporting them to Ofcom, and seeking to block them via O*.**I appreciate YouTube are trying to promote their paid services, but this along with the recent massive increase in video based adverts seems like a very snide and underhand way to go about it.**Reporting adverts also seems to have no effect on their frequency.
