I suspect that my Yahoo account has been compromised as there have been recent activities on apps that I did not do. I am willing to provide a photo of myself with my ID to verify my identity. It is important to me to regain access to my account as I have precious family photos stored there. Additionally, the phone number linked to my account is outdated, and I am unable to update it without access. I believe someone has taken over my account and I am in need of assistance.

In late [redacted] to early [redacted], my ex-wife gained unauthorized access to and tampered with several of my accounts, including Google, Facebook, and others. While I have not been successful in recovering these accounts, I believe my Yahoo account, [redacted], may still be active, although I do not have the current password. This Yahoo account may have been associated with the email address [redacted] and phone number [redacted]. I used this Yahoo account to access websites like creditkarma.com, paypal.com, and amazon.com. I suspect my past passwords may have included variations of ******* or *******, which I will provide directly to Yahoo. I am hopeful that I can regain access to some of my digital presence, and any assistance Yahoo can offer in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I am receiving harassing emails through Yahoo, with the subject "spaghetti meatball." They seem to be originating from Craigslist, but I cannot identify the sender's email address. The content is inappropriate and I feel targeted. I urge Yahoo to investigate this matter.

I'm having trouble resetting my password for my account. When trying to use the reset link, I am prompted for the last 2 digits of my phone number, followed by a request to send a reset code to my old phone number, which I no longer have access to. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be an alternative option available such as a security question or a recovery email. I'm concerned as I need to access important emails in my account. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have submitted four cases all related to the same issue. None of the responses have been helpful, and they are automatically closed after being responded to. I would prefer to speak to a live person via telephone if possible. The main problem is that my very old Flickr account under rar2667 has a primary email that is defunct. When I try to sign in, I get a 2-factor auth code sent to the defunct email. I've set up a new account under [redacted], but I can't log in because that email is also associated with the rar2667 account. I receive an error message instructing me to either log into rar2667 and remove [redacted] or remove it from my current account. I can't sign into rar2667 due to the 2-factor authorization, and I can't remove the email from my current account. I'm unable to delete it since it's the primary address. I've submitted Case [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], and now [redacted]. The responses seem like generic replies that don't address my issue. The last three responses were identical, directing me to SmugMug for help even though my account still uses Yahoo for login. The cases are closed right after the response, leaving me unable to express my dissatisfaction with the unhelpful replies. This poor customer service has wasted a lot of my time.

I found an email in my spam folder that claims to be from Yahoo Accounts. It requests my password due to an alleged deactivation request on my Yahoo account today. I did not make this request and am hesitant to provide my password. The email warns that the account will be permanently deactivated and unrecoverable. The contact information provided is [redacted] I'm uncertain about the legitimacy of this email from Yahoo and seek clarification on the matter.

I received a Yahoo number from Google thinking it was legitimate, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a scam. The person, Mike, claimed my computer was hacked from multiple locations and offered to fix it for $[redacted].00. I provided my credit card information, and shortly after, Mike called from a California number and locked my computer. It was a clear cybercrime situation. Thankfully, he did not steal any money as the card he got information on was already cancelled. Just wanted to share my experience to alert others.

In November, I lost my phone, which led to my email accounts being compromised. I attempted to use an old cell phone but couldn't access my Google account to put service on it. I tried various passwords but none worked, so I proceeded to reset my Google password, which required verification via email or phone number. However, my Yahoo email only allowed me a 2-step verification option, not a password one. Trying to recover my Yahoo password or enable the two-step verification looped back to a verification code sent to my old phone or Google mail, which I couldn't access due to my compromised password. I find myself stuck in a cycle where I can't access my phone without logging into Google or retrieving my Yahoo mail without access to Google or my old phone. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I have an email account that my ex-wife is currently using without my permission. She has been sending emails using my name to others and I need this issue resolved as soon as possible. I have tried to contact the email provider to change the name or close the account, but they have not responded. This has become a significant problem for me, and I am worried about my privacy and security. Please advise on how I can address this situation promptly. Thank you.

Subject: Important Yahoo Account Information Hello, I would like to inform you that as you have been active with your Yahoo email address in the last 90 days, there are some changes Yahoo is implementing. They are closing some older email services, which could result in your Yahoo email address becoming inactive after January 31, [redacted], if you do not agree to their latest oath agreement. By not agreeing, you risk losing your email address along with all contacts and messages associated with it. To keep your email address and avoid any issues, you need to link your account to Yahoo's latest oath agreement. The process is quick, simple, and free. Just follow the steps provided in the email. If you do not wish to keep your email address, let Yahoo know, and they will delete it for you. If you have any doubts or want more information, visit Yahoo's official website. Best regards, Shashi

My email has been compromised. I intentionally changed the name on the account for safety but now can't remember it, likely due to the extended absence. Kindly assist me, Yahoo. There are vital documents in that email necessary for a legal matter. Please reactivate the account as it is crucial for my court case. If not resolved, legal action may follow. The content in the email relates to Russian, Nigerian, and Saudi crude oil/jet fuel with messages from various individuals like Yang, Young, Lee, and possibly Song. Preservation of this email is essential, alongside recent history. The hacker must be held accountable! Communication might include exchanges with entities like Manpower, Congressman Ryan, and various financial institutions such as Chase, Bank of America, and more. Identification details include past residences and travel history within the U.S. and abroad. I urgently require a password reset. Prompt action is requested to alleviate the difficulties caused by the lack of email access, which inadvertently supports illegal activities. Repeated reports of hacking have not been adequately addressed. It seems the hacker has been treated more respectfully than me, resulting in this ongoing issue. Please keep me updated. Thank you.

I would appreciate your help in resolving an issue I am facing. My stock portfolio was recently transferred from AOL. However, when trying to access it, I am repeatedly informed that I am using the wrong password. I have followed the instructions to receive a code through email, which matches my user mail, but after two attempts, the code provided is consistently said to be wrong. To compound this issue, on the third attempt, I was informed that the user name was incorrect. Unfortunately, I am stuck in an unproductive loop with your customer service that fails to address or rectify the problem effectively. As I urgently require my portfolio details for tax purposes, including purchase price, date, number of shares, and stock performance, I kindly request that this information be emailed to me promptly. Failing to receive this crucial data will impede my tax filing, posing a significant inconvenience. I trust that this matter can be resolved promptly to prevent any escalation.

I am facing a significant issue that I am hopeful you can assist me with. My daughter, K, who is 16 years old, has an email account [redacted] that we set up a while ago. Despite trying to reset the password, we are unable to do so because it requires sending a text to a phone number I no longer have. Furthermore, her Facebook and Apple ID are linked to this inaccessible email, and we cannot reset those passwords either without access to the email. I used to store passwords in an app on my phone, but due to a software update, I have lost access to the stored passwords. If we cannot regain access to this email, she may lose important data on her phone. She now uses [redacted], but everything important is attached to [redacted] I am willing to do whatever it takes to either access the email or receive the necessary emails from Apple and Facebook to reset the passwords. Please help me as I am in a difficult situation and desperately need a resolution.

I am attempting to add a new email address to my existing Yahoo account. When I navigate to my Yahoo Mail settings and click on "Manage Accounts," a popup appears with the option to "+ Add Account." After entering my email address and attempting to sign in, I find myself stuck in a loop despite receiving a confirmation that I am logged in. I have searched online for guidance on how to add an email address to my Yahoo account, but the instructions I find are either outdated or too complicated for me to follow in my current frustrated state. I am feeling overwhelmed by this process and simply want to add an email address that aligns with my small business for selling homemade products on Etsy. It's frustrating that such a seemingly simple task has become so challenging.

I regret to inform you that on 15/10/[redacted], your OS was compromised, allowing me full access to your account [redacted] with the password [redacted][redacted]. Despite changing your password, my malware intercepts it consistently due to the router vulnerability exploit I utilized. Through the hacked router, I implanted malicious code onto your device, enabling me to extract a full dump of your disk, including your address book, browsing history, files, and contact information. While initially considering locking your device for ransom, upon discovering you visited adult sites, I opted for blackmail instead. To prevent the exposure of compromising screenshots, please pay $[redacted] in bitcoins to wallet 1DiEqE5R1Ktu7QCLUuJN31PNtpoBU41x2E within 48 hours. Refrain from attempting to remove the malware, as your data has already been uploaded to a remote server. Please update your antivirus regularly to avoid similar situations in the future.

I've been unable to access my email account since January 30, [redacted], and also had the same issue from November 26 to December 6, [redacted]. Despite hours on the phone and a fruitless trip to an AT&T store, I finally got the account reactivated the first time. This time, no one seems able to assist me. The server in Cary, NC was reportedly down on both occasions. Even when it came back up in December, my email did not return. I received the error code 0x80190f6 at one point. This email address is crucial for my business, and I need to transfer my contacts to a new provider. The situation is causing me a lot of stress. I hope to be contacted promptly to resolve this matter. My name is Laura Cando, and my email is [redacted]

After my phone updated, I got signed out of my Yahoo account. I've been trying to receive the verification code on my mother's phone, [redacted], but it's not coming through. Is there any way I can get a code to access my account? My email is [redacted] Since I can't access it, I'll use my mother's email in the "how would Yahoo email you" section.

Once a month, we send out personalized birthday discounts to customers celebrating their birthdays during that month. This process involves sending under [redacted] emails, with approximately 40-70 recipients using Yahoo email accounts. Each email is manually prepared over a 5-8 hour period to ensure customization with the recipient's first name in the subject line and salutation. After sending these emails, we encounter issues accessing Yahoo services on our IP address, leading to temporary blocks. We are a legitimate business that only emails customers who have willingly provided their email addresses; we do not engage in bulk emails or spamming. The situation is frustrating as we value our customers and prioritize their experience.
