Help with my Yahoo issue
GetHuman-bothyboy's next move: find and follow the right step-by-step guide.
Yahoo doesn't have a customer phone number that is answered by an agent. Instead, GetHuman-bothyboy will need to dig through the advice provided by Yahoo, other customers and consumer advocacy websites like GetHuman. Here are some instructions we've written for similar issues- hopefully GetHuman-bothyboy can let us know if they help or not.

Top Tip from another customer
If you're having issues with a password, try resetting it using your email address (be sure to use the correct spelling). Click "Forgot Password" under the login, then follow the prompt. You should have the option to reset with your phone number.
The issue in GetHuman-bothyboy's own words
Re-establish my account key and password, and then access my e-mail. ... I have a brand new computer and am trying to open my Yahoo e-mail account upon it. the account key sent to my phone does not work. *I have tried many times, using the information given to me by yahoo and would expect it to work. I can access the account on my android but not this machine. I keep getting sent the same account key but then receive the message that it is invalid* what gives, and why, oh, why can't you just give me a phone number instead of your witless robot?
The information texted to me did not work* each of the seven times I tried, I was told that the account key which I had received just seconds before from Yahoo was invalid and that I had to start over.
It is now *:**pm. I began this process at *:**. I'm no closer to a solution than before, I still have not spoken with a human, despite the title of the page. I want the information that comes from this service to be accurate and to work: first time, every time.
I have been a customer for over ten years. I expected accurate information without the shameless gatekeeping and impersonal shuttling me around from one sterile, useless page to another, finally looping back to the beginning, with no attempt from Yahoo to resolve the problem. Funny question: does length of time as a customer make any difference in quality of service?
What other choices are there? Yahoo is responsible for their information and it's workings. I have used every option given to me. None have been successful.
