I purchased a Widex Evoke pair of hearing aids and a charger for ZPower batteries in February ****. The charger malfunctioned while I was away from home in September. A visit to my hometown audiologist this week resulted in my being told that the ZPower battery company is now out of business, my charger is useless and I will need to replace my new hearing aids with another model. Widex will provide another non-rechargeable model and ** batteries for no additional cost or a new prototype with a rechargeable lithium ion battery for an additional $***. Is all of this true? Without a customer service representative with whom to speak, I have no way to confirm this information.
