TO: Whirlpool Customer Service*FROM: A dissatisfied Whirlpool owner*November *, *****Hello. I grew up in a farmhouse that always had Whirlpool appliances. My Mom would not even look at anything else, because she said Whirlpool is tops. So, I purchased Whirlpool Gold Energy Star appliances for my new home on ******* to the tune of over $**,*** from Lowes in Harrisonburg, VA. I also purchased the *-yr. warranty, which was a good move. I was able to move in my home and begin using my appliances in ****, and I am a single person. The refrigerator was the first to give me trouble, and many maintenance visits ensued, all under the warranty until it was decided by the powers that be that I was to get a new fridge to replace it. I was devastated by this appliance failure. The motherboard on my double ovens died earlier this summer, and had to be replaced by me. My Cabrio Platinum *.* ft* Top-load Chrome washer (Model * WTW****YC) was acting up. Here are the details:**. June ****- the washer lid stopped closing correctly, and the locking mechanism on the lid went haywire, so ***the lid assembly was replaced (under warranty) by Matt’s Appliance Service, Inc. on July **, ******. In October of ****, the washer sound when washing became almost unbearable, like a train coming through the**house, and the F ** Error Code began coming up on the panel. SO Matt’s Appliance folks ordered a rotor, *stator, and a sensor, and replaced these on *********. The loud sound did not improve much after they worked *on it, and it has worsened over recent months.**. In the late spring of this year, I began getting water flowing out from underneath the washer on the floor- a little at *first, and I had to put down old towels to catch the water, and then mop after washing a load or two of clothing. *I had the Matt’s folks come on October **, **** to tell me if I should just give up and get a new machine, or *should it be repaired yet again. After a short visit, the technicians told me that a bearing was bad, but they *would have to see what parts would be necessary to take care of the bearing issue. The estimate came back *$*** to repair. *I will buy a new washer, and I really want a Whirlpool (Chrome) to match my dryer. I am trying to remain faithful to this brand, but I am terribly disappointed in the quality of this washer that I paid over $*** for at the time. Of course, my warranty ran out in April of this year, so I was wondering if Whirlpool could help me out in some way, perhaps? I will return to my Lowes store folks to purchase another washer, as they have been absolutely amazing in helping me get my dream house built. Give me a reason to buy another Whirlpool, please! Thank you for your time, and I would appreciate a response one way or another, please.*Sincerely, *Sarah (“Susie”) Shomo***** Mountain Valley Road*Keezletown, VA *******S*****@***.com****-***-*****Cell ***-***-****
