use it. ... Purchased a frig*freezer at Home Depot with extended warranty in ****. It stopped working completely on *******. Service person came out and said it was the board. Had to order the board. It came in a week or so later. Service person replaced the main board, but then said the hi voltage board needed replacing. That is Part *W********. That part is on back order. So frig*freezer has been not working since ****, with no relief in sight. This appliance is owned by a ** year old woman, Henrietta Labanowski, who lives alone in Marco Island, FL. She has been going to the store every day to buy ice so that her medications can be kept chilled. I am her daughter, and I have called Home Depot, the extended warranty service people. Everyone promises to call back and NEVER does. I have talked to supervisors and above. They promise to help, but no one calls back. Last thing I was told was that the Whirlpool area rep had been contacted and was looking into it. I have no idea if that is true. No one calls me back. I now have a call into the local FOX station in Ft. Myers, FL. I have talked to someone there and am hoping that their consumer advocate will help. I find it absolutely cruel and awful that if a frig*freezer cannot be fixed within a reasonable amount of time, then it should be replaced. This is a life safety issue. Shame on both Whirlpool and Home Depot. Whirpool needs to send her a new frig*freezer. Please call me to discuss at ***-***-****.
