I have a Galaxy S9+ that needs repair, so I'm using my old Note 4 temporarily. I successfully transferred my contacts, photos, but I'm facing issues with WhatsApp. Despite copying the WhatsApp folder to the Note 4, I can't seem to restore the chat history. After entering the verification code, the chat history remains empty, only showing groups without content. I had backups on Google Drive and locally from the S9+, but WhatsApp isn't prompting me to restore them. Switching between phones with the phone number verification process taking 6 hours each time is frustrating. I urgently need assistance from WhatsApp to resolve this matter. Thank you, Paul.

Hello, I have been a long-time user of WhatsApp and recently encountered an issue where my mobile number got blocked. Despite my efforts, I have been unable to resolve this matter. I am a tattoo artist and I run a small tattoo shop called OmatTATTOO in Alūksne, Latvia. I had been using WhatsApp Business from the app store and particularly enjoyed the feature of setting a greeting text for customers in Latvian. However, my number got blocked some days ago and even after switching to the regular WhatsApp Messenger application, the issue persists. I have reached out to WhatsApp Team for assistance, but unfortunately, I have not received the help I need. I am seeking assistance to get my number unblocked. Thank you for your help. The hacker enabled Two-Step Verification and linked their own email address, locking me out of my account. This has severely impacted my business operations. For the last 4 days, my WhatsApp account linked to +91-[redacted] has been banned. I was surprised this morning to see a message saying my number was logged in on another device without my knowledge. I have no clue how someone could access my account without an OTP for login. I suspect some unauthorized individual might be involved in this questionable activity. My phone was not available to any strangers, and I never shared any OTP. This is the second time it has occurred, and I urge you to investigate and block the device that accessed my account in the last 24 hours. I trust the support team to assist me in resolving this issue without any loss to my WhatsApp data.

My wife and I heavily used WhatsApp to stay in touch with our loved ones but recently switched from iPhone 6 to Android Pixel 4. My wife, Susan Roughgarden, and I, Jeffrey Roughgarden, encountered issues during the conversion process. My chats vanished, making it feel like starting from scratch. Despite this setback, the app works moving forward. However, Susan's conversion was a complete failure. Despite reinstalling the app and trying various methods, such as changing her name and email addresses, she couldn't establish a connection. We sought assistance from Verizon, where we purchased the phone, but the problem persisted. We've made numerous attempts, including uninstalling and reinstalling WhatsApp, rebooting the phone, adjusting data settings, and seeking professional help, to no avail. We've invested hours and significant effort in resolving this issue but have been unsuccessful. If her account cannot be restored, it would be appreciated if WhatsApp could erase her records, allowing her to start afresh as a new user. Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, my name is Abdul Salaam from Pakistan. My CNIC number is 34[redacted]-1. My WhatsApp number is [redacted]5, under the Mobilink network in Pakistan. I am currently working in Abu Dhabi. Yesterday I reset my phone, and when I reinstalled WhatsApp and entered my previous number for authentication, the code was sent to my Pakistan number. Unfortunately, due to the lack of Mobilink coverage, I was unable to receive the message even with roaming enabled. I have my Mobilink SIM with me and urgently need access to my WhatsApp account. Hello, I am Sreelekshman. I use WhatsApp with the phone number +91 [redacted]. Today, I was surprised to find that my account was banned without me engaging in any suspicious activity or violating the terms of service. Upon contacting the security team, they alleged multiple violations without specifying any details or showing me the complaints. I assure you that I have always abided by WhatsApp's terms and never used any modified versions of the app. It seems likely that my account was compromised since the app prompted me to reconnect on a different device. I run a small business creating intro videos and logos using WhatsApp Business and request a thorough review of my account to rectify this misunderstanding. Three days ago, I received a message on WhatsApp saying "Re store not restore," and without realizing, I clicked "restore," causing all my contact numbers and chats to be deleted. The message seemed confusing, and now I regret it as I lost all the important data. I attempted to restore, but it took a long time, and it was unclear if a backup was being taken. Later, I received wishes for the new year and out of fear, I clicked "not restore," which led to everything being deleted. I had crucial business contacts saved on there, and now I'm at a loss. Around 5,[redacted] to 6,[redacted] numbers are now gone. I need help recovering the lost data.

Hello, I recently received two WhatsApp codes on my mobile number, followed by a message saying that my account has been banned. I did not request these codes and I'm unsure why this has happened, as I haven't violated any of WhatsApp's rules. I recently switched to a new phone and transferred all my files. However, the new phone had to be serviced due to software issues and was reset. When I tried to restore my data, I realized that 90% of it was missing. Despite multiple attempts, including using two backups saved on Google Drive, I couldn't transfer all the data successfully. One backup with over 28GB is still accessible on the old phone, while a smaller 13GB backup is on the new one. Frustratingly, every time I try to transfer the data, only the data from the last week gets restored. At this point, I'm considering switching back to my old phone and using it instead due to the difficulties I'm facing with transferring the data to the new device.

I was informed that I violated the Commerce Policy, which was unintentional since I sell Herbalife nutrition products and was unaware of this policy. I got locked out of WhatsApp and received a message saying I tried to sign in too many times and to try again in 12 hours. I accidentally shared a code with a hacker who impersonated my doctor on Twitter, using French messages. I've activated 2-step authentication but keep receiving emails asking me to deactivate it. This seems like a security breach. Can someone from WhatsApp help me regain full access and ensure my account's security? My work is suffering from this issue.

I emailed WhatsApp regarding my access issue since I reset my phone on Tuesday. Despite trying various methods suggested online, like deleting data and restarting my phone, I still can't access WhatsApp. I suspect the recent update merging WhatsApp and Facebook might have caused the problem. I am concerned about my email and password security. I am unable to see messages or contact numbers on WhatsApp. I hope to receive guidance soon on resolving this issue.

Hello! My name is Diptarup Sarkar and I have been using WhatsApp for the past four years. I have a friend on my chat list whom I text regularly and have saved his number while he has saved mine. Recently, I noticed that I can't see his display picture, about, or phone number on WhatsApp. It seems that he has not blocked me as I can see him online and he responds to my messages. Another issue is that when I post a status update, it doesn't show on his phone even though I have added him to my status privacy list. These two situations are specific to him and don't occur with my other contacts. I am providing my email in the next box for further communication. WhatsApp prompted me to update my account, after which all of my saved posts and phone contacts were erased, along with the posts linked to each contact. I kindly request the restoration of my saved posts and WhatsApp contact numbers along with their associated posts. My main contact number is [redacted]. Two of my WhatsApp invite contacts are [redacted]-[redacted] and [redacted]-[redacted]. I had numerous posts linked to all these WhatsApp numbers and around 5 to 6 additional contact numbers with various posts. Please restore all my WhatsApp posts. On November 16, [redacted], WhatsApp required me to update my profile account, resulting in the deletion of all my saved data while keeping my profile unchanged. I seek your assistance urgently. I have been receiving repeated calls from an unidentified number, 91-84[redacted]3, causing me distress. In June, believing it was a family member, I sent prayers via WhatsApp, expecting them to clarify their identity. Several months have passed, and the caller has not disclosed who they are. They persistently demand money since Friday and claim to possess knowledge about my family. Despite my inquiries, they refuse to reveal themselves. Seeking assistance from WhatsApp to uncover the caller's identity and prevent further harassment towards my family.

Dear Whatsapp Team, I am writing regarding a concerning issue with our company's phone numbers. Recently, we obtained a new number and utilized WhatsApp to communicate with approximately 49 of our customers who rely on our services. Surprisingly, this new number has also been banned by your platform. Previously, our primary number, +91-[redacted], was banned on 02.11.[redacted], and despite multiple attempts, we are still awaiting a response from your team. Due to the lack of communication, we were compelled to acquire a new SIM card with the number +91-[redacted], which has also been banned by WhatsApp. We are perplexed by these continuous bans and the lack of clarity regarding your policies, especially for a business like ours that relies on WhatsApp for customer communication. Our company, recognized by the United Nations and other international organizations, faces unnecessary disruptions due to these account bans. If a ban is issued by WhatsApp, it typically lasts indefinitely unless the ban was a mistake on their part. The process to regain access to a locked account can be quite complex. The possible reasons for a permanent ban include sending spam, posting inappropriate content, or using unofficial WhatsApp clients repeatedly. To recover from a temporary ban, such as a 24-hour or 48-hour ban, users must remove the cause of the ban and patiently wait for the ban to expire. Once the countdown ends, normal access to the account should be restored. To prevent future bans, avoid sending messages to unknown contacts and immediately uninstall any unofficial WhatsApp clients that may have caused the ban. For Android users, uninstall any unofficial WhatsApp clients by locating them in the app drawer, holding the icon, and selecting "uninstall" or "delete." Once removed, wait for the ban to be lifted before reinstalling the official WhatsApp messenger for Android or iPhone to regain access to your account.
