Dear WhatsApp Support Team, I am seeking your assistance regarding an issue that I am experiencing. Recently, my old Android phone became unusable, leading me to purchase a new Android device. Along with the new phone, I acquired a new SIM card. Yesterday, I successfully verified my old phone number on the new SIM card but noticed that my recent WhatsApp conversations, spanning approximately the last 6 months, are missing. I did not link my WhatsApp to my Gmail account on the old phone; instead, I had enabled weekly backups. It seems these backups were stored locally on my previous device. Despite my efforts to locate the backup files, I could only find backups dating back to [redacted], when I switched phones. I have two Gmail accounts, both with "WhatsApp Messenger - WhatsApp chat history and media backup for Android" installed on Google Drive. However, as I do not recall linking my WhatsApp to either Gmail account, I am uncertain if the backup can be retrieved from there. I am now uncertain where to find the most recent backup. I am eager to retrieve my complete WhatsApp conversations as of the most recent date possible, which indicates the last backup was made on 28th April [redacted]. These conversations, along with the accompanying pictures and videos, hold significant sentimental value to me. Therefore, I kindly request your assistance in locating the latest backup. If you have a backup saved on your servers, could you please provide me with the version from 28th April [redacted] to enable me to restore my WhatsApp on the new device? I am experiencing issues with receiving push notifications on my phones. The notifications are inconsistent - sometimes they arrive with sound and vibration, other times only vibrate without sound, and occasionally I don't notice them at all. This problem has occurred across three different phones that I purchased and returned, believing they were faulty. I have tried various troubleshooting steps such as reinstalling apps, clearing the cache, and checking battery settings to no avail. After researching online, I found suggestions that smartphones from China may have this issue, with possible solutions. However, these solutions have not worked for me. If anyone has advice on resolving this push notification problem, I would appreciate your help. Thank you.

I reinstalled WhatsApp on my phone. When prompted to enter my phone number for verification SMS, I click next. However, after about thirty seconds, I receive an "Unable to connect" error message. Even though I clicked on the check status option, it says the WhatsApp service is normal. The verification code is not sent. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times, restarted my phone, and changed internet connections with no success. I contacted WhatsApp via email, and they directed me to their FAQ which did not have a solution. Despite informing them, I have not received a response. I urgently need to use the app to communicate with my friends and family abroad. Your prompt assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello, I am seeking assistance as my phone was hacked on Sunday, April 27th, resulting in my WhatsApp account being banned for violating the terms. I promptly emailed WhatsApp that same night to report the hacking before the ban occurred. The hacker used my account to send messages to my contacts, who I advised to block the number for their safety. The hacker even threatened my friends, potentially to orchestrate my ban by having others report me. I need my number unbanned urgently to access my data and allow others to contact me. Despite multiple emails to WhatsApp support explaining the situation, they have maintained the ban citing a violation of terms, disregarding my hacking explanation.

Hello, I would like to report an issue with WhatsApp. My phone was hacked on Sunday, April 27th, through a verification code scam. I informed WhatsApp about the hack before my number got banned. The hacker then sent messages to my friends, and I advised them to block and report the number for their safety. I'm unsure if WhatsApp banned me or if the hackers managed to ban my account. I have attached screenshots from my friends showing the hacker's messages implying they could ban my number. I urgently need my number unbanned so I can access my account, as it contains important data and people are unable to contact me. Despite informing WhatsApp about the hack, they have not unbanned me, stating that I violated the terms.

Initially, I experienced a 3-minute restriction, then later a 48-hour ban. Due to this, I am facing significant inconvenience as I have been a loyal user of GBWhatsApp for many years. The UK/Europe trip is scheduled for May 10, [redacted], and I purchased a Matrix card for their use (+[redacted]15). My account was banned for violating the Terms of Service. Please refer to the "Acceptable Use of Services" section in the Terms of Service to understand the appropriate use of WhatsApp and activities that are considered violations. There may not be a warning before an account is banned. If you believe your account was banned in error, please reply to this email for further investigation. WhatsApp has the right to modify, suspend, or terminate services without prior notice at their discretion. I was reported by a user not in my contacts and my number was banned. Is there any way to recover my number without changing it?

Hello, WhatsApp support team. My name is Nic Poh, and my phone number is ‪+65 [redacted]4‬. I have recently been facing harassment from members on WhatsApp who are not following the rules of my groups. As the group administrator, I created these groups to help Singaporeans find security jobs on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. I have removed these individuals who were spamming, posting irrelevant content, and causing disruptions. Some of them have even resorted to sending me harassing messages, including demands for money in exchange for posting help, which I have declined and removed them from the group. I have reported some of them to WhatsApp but instead had my account banned. I work as a recruiter for a major security company in Singapore and believe I have been unfairly treated. I am seeking assistance in reinstating my WhatsApp account and taking action against these individuals. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I have attempted to contact you twice via email, first five days ago and then three days ago, but have not received any responses yet. My work phone number has been blocked from the app, and I urgently need it to be unblocked since I heavily rely on WhatsApp for work communication. Upon reviewing your terms of service, I suspect that I may have been banned due to an incident at work. As a program manager in a tourism company, I had to facilitate an activity that required the participants to download an app. I received a download link from the activity organizer, whose number was not saved in my phone, and forwarded it to six people who also did not have my number saved. Subsequently, I believe my messages were flagged as spam or advertising, resulting in my account being blocked. I assure you that I did not intend to engage in any form of advertising, as it was purely work-related. A prompt resolution to lift the ban on my account is crucial as WhatsApp is essential for my job, especially for communicating with international clients. Your assistance in reinstating my access would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, my WhatsApp number has been banned. It is vital for my business operations, and the ban has caused disruptions for the past 2 days. Dear WhatsApp team, I have never sent any abusive or provocative messages to anyone or any group. I have also blocked a few contacts. I reached out to all the group members I am in, including my friends, and they assured me that none of them reported me. If this is a case of random vendetta from someone within the group, I understand because we are all human and cannot please everyone. I’ve been in contact with my niece from Kenya, while I’m in the USA, mainly through WhatsApp messages and occasional video calls. Recently, she noticed her WhatsApp account was hacked, and the hackers started accessing our old text messages and video calls. They threatened her, saying they would share the private information they obtained with all her contacts and mine. She informed me of this, so we both changed our phones, but we are concerned that the hackers still have our data. My question is, if I provide you with her phone number and mine, could you identify who gained access to her WhatsApp and mine, and delete their accounts? Despite being a lady, I was reported by a man with the number [redacted] after I stood up to him for insulting and harassing me, even demanding that I sleep with him. When I mentioned reporting his behavior to his wife, he retaliated by reporting me instead. As a woman, it is disheartening that my rights were not upheld in this situation. Hello, I wish to report an incident that led to my temporary ban from WhatsApp. A man, whose number is [redacted], reported me after he harassed me, attempted to force me into an uncomfortable situation, and insulted me. When I stood up to him and mentioned reporting his behavior to his wife, he retaliated by reporting me instead. As a woman, I feel my rights were not respected in this situation. I reached out for help to prevent being penalized for his inappropriate actions and now I am having trouble accessing my emails, Facebook, and WhatsApp due to the ban.
