Hi. I have been using WhatsApp for * years now. One month back I had to give the phone on which I was using WhatsApp for service as it had some technical issues and for the meantime I switched to another phone. I installed WhatsApp and manually backup the chats every night to the same google account I have been using the whole time. *Once I got back my phone from the service centre, I installed WhatsApp, added the phone number. I didn't even get the option to restore but just the option to add name as my dp was still there. Once I got into the chat section, none of my individual chats were there(group chats were there though I was shown to be newly added and hence can't read previous messages), not even the ones I had before even switching the phone( I have been manually backing up chats from the time I started using it).*So I uninstalled and then reinstalled...yet no use..*What am I supposed to do?
