Hello, I recently switched between two Android phones and attempted to transfer my WhatsApp data and chat history using Google Drive. However, despite selecting the backup option, I encountered issues restoring the data on my new phone. Even after choosing to restore from a previous backup, the data doesn't transfer successfully and WhatsApp opens as if there was no backup available. This has left me frustrated as I've already wiped my old phone before realizing the problem. I can still see the backup on my Google Drive but can't seem to restore it on the new device. Hello, I have WhatsApp installed on an old iPhone. The WhatsApp account I was using is registered under a family member's phone number because my SIM card no longer works. Recently, this family member reactivated their own WhatsApp account with the same phone number I was using, which seems to have closed my account. After discussing with my relative, they agreed I could reactivate my account using their phone number. However, when I try to reactivate, the app requests the original number used to activate WhatsApp on this phone, which is the current number. I am unsure what to do now. Should I delete and reinstall WhatsApp? I am concerned about losing my business contacts, which are essential. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, S.

My phone was recently stolen, and as a result, my social media applications were compromised. After my WhatsApp account was hijacked, the phone number associated with it was changed. I have tried unsuccessfully to regain access to my account. I reached out to WhatsApp to temporarily deactivate my account, but they claimed my phone number does not exist. I am concerned about the security of my contacts and would like my account to be recovered. I received a message from an unknown foreign number on August 27th claiming to be from MoMo, which I just deleted. Subsequently, I received another message from a different unknown number also claiming to be from MoMo. This individual has somehow obtained my personal images and used them as their display picture, including images of my relatives and friends. I decided to block the number, perform a data reset on my mobile device, delete my WhatsApp account, and create a new one using a different number. However, I have since noticed strange occurrences such as dare smileys (like mamal bats) and Halloween pumpkin images falling down on my keyboard while typing on WhatsApp, happening about four times. I suspect my account might have been hacked. Can someone assist me in determining if my account has indeed been compromised?

I accidentally deleted WhatsApp on my iPhone 8 Plus. After reinstalling, it won't proceed to the verification code and only shows "WhatsApp is temporarily unavailable, please try again in 5 minutes." I have restarted my phone, ensured my software is up to date on iOS 12.1, and the network connection is fine. I've tried reinstalling and restarting for hours without success. I urgently need help as I don't know what else to do.

I recently received a notification from WhatsApp stating that my account was accessed from a different phone, leading to me being logged out without my knowledge. Upon attempting to regain access, I discovered that my number was blocked. Despite reaching out to WhatsApp multiple times for assistance, I have yet to receive any help. The lack of communication from the company is becoming increasingly frustrating. I assure you that I have not breached any terms and require urgent unblocking of my number. WhatsApp has repeatedly provided the same responses without considering my situation. They allege complaints against my number without verifying the hacking incident. I was a victim of circumstances beyond my control when my number was hacked, and WhatsApp seems unwilling to acknowledge this. I urge them to unblock my number promptly as I am innocent in this matter.

On October 24, [redacted], I dialed [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] 64 using WhatsApp to call my aunt in Spain. The call lasted 17 minutes and 37 seconds. Weeks later, Verizon, my U.S. wireless carrier, billed me $35.82 for that call. I contacted Verizon, explaining I believed the charge was incorrect because I used WhatsApp for the international call. Verizon insisted the call was processed through their service, not the app. I argued that I dialed through the app and not my regular service. They maintained I was responsible for the payment. I remain shocked at the situation. How could my phone, solely using WiFi and WhatsApp, end up using Verizon's international service? I am confused and seeking clarification on this matter as soon as possible. I feel I am being taken advantage of, as I understood WhatsApp to provide free international calls through WiFi. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I've been experiencing numerous issues with my Samsung Z1 running on the Tizen OS. After uninstalling and reinstalling Whatsapp, I encountered errors while trying to register my number, though it worked smoothly with a new number. Before the reinstall, I found that the sound for video status updates was not functioning correctly. There seem to be various bugs present: 1. Reverification problem with existing numbers. 2. Lack of sound for video status updates. 3. Absence of contact list. 4. Inability to send audio files. 5. Missing refresh option for contacts, chats, and status updates. These are the primary bugs I've identified. I hope these will be addressed promptly, and I would appreciate being informed when the fixes are implemented. Thank you.

Hello, I have been trying to switch from a Samsung S5 to a Samsung S9+. When I transferred my SIM card, I had issues with my WhatsApp chats not all transferring over. I reinserted the SIM card back into the S5 and found all my chats there. After backing up the chats on the S5, I tried again with the S9+ but still not all chats transferred. Recently, I purchased a new phone, the Redmi Note 5 Pro, and encountered issues transferring my important chat history. Despite attempting to save the chats, I wasn't successful and feel disappointed. I need assistance with this matter. I kept WhatsApp installed on my old phone, and the same SIM card used for registration in the old phone is still in it. However, after installing WhatsApp on my new phone and selecting the restore option, my chats did not carry over. When I access WhatsApp on my old phone, I receive a message stating my phone number is no longer registered on that device, likely because it's registered on a different device. I unintentionally broke the rules by sending unsolicited messages on WhatsApp. I have since quit the job, reviewed the terms of service, and vowed not to violate the rules in the future. Kindly reconsider unbanning my account +[redacted]7 as I am truly sorry and promise to adhere to the guidelines going forward. I am facing an issue on WhatsApp where only one grey tick appears when I message a specific contact, even though my internet connection is fine. This problem persists even though both my and the contact's privacy settings are set to "Everyone." I have tried reinstalling WhatsApp, but the problem remains. I have been using WhatsApp for 2 years. Recently, I had to service my phone due to technical issues and temporarily used another phone. I diligently backed up my chats to my Google account each night while using the temporary device. When I got back my phone, I reinstalled WhatsApp, added my phone number, but did not get the option to restore my chats. Although my group chats remained, my individual chats, including those from before I switched phones, were missing despite manually backing up my chats throughout my use. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the app, but the issue persisted. Can anyone advise me on what steps to take next?

Dear Sir, my WhatsApp account was recently banned due to my friends playing a prank on me by reporting me as spam without any valid reason. This has caused me significant distress as I have important school notes and homework being sent by my teacher through WhatsApp in preparation for an upcoming exam. I have a lot of friends but unfortunately haven't saved their contacts, causing issues with identification.
