With all of the overhyped hurt feelings that have simmered to a boil concerning the Redskins and their racist mascot* image* yada*yada, one might think that the concept of a ferocious tomahawk chopper exhibiting all of the necessary skills to inundate, scalp, and otherwise bring an invading opponent from across the pond to an untimely end, the need for an image change might be more demanded from palefaces, whose lifelong fear of being scalped might trump the denigrating hurt them bloodthirsty monsters of the plains could ever have had to endure. That said, and because the desire to bring an end to the terrible racism these raging marauders have had to endure, we're in for a long overdue name change, which, most likely, will tone down the vicious bloodthirsty image that them war whopping teepee building buffalo skinners have had to endure, and it's about time. Hence, the search for a new image, a new name, a kinder, friendlier moniker that can conjure only peaceful thoughts of truth, justice, and the American way is now underway. And, pray tell, it's going to be a tough decision, because such a choice will have to encapsulate all of the kind, thoughtful, and caring feelings that these marauders from **** never possessed. But, I suppose that in our quest to gloss over reality as we go forward looking for new ways to convince ourselves that we're becoming a more civilized society, that it's become necessary to impose this fakery upon us all.*Therefore, I submit a few image changing monikers for your perusal:*The Tomahawk Choppers*The DC Decimators*The Cherry Blossom Pickers*The Lumbering Lobbyists*The Philly Busters*The Giant Slayers*The Cowboy Crushers*The Peace Pipe Smokers*Oh well, the list could go on, but I'm quite certain that the new name will never reflect the thoughtful consideration that I've put into this. It would serve the team owners right if game-attending fans would demonstrate by doing things like wearing paper sacks colored with the old Redskin image. If there isn't a pushback on all of this absurdity, we're in danger of slipping into unforgivable mediocrity. To those who disagree: Football is war, you idiots. War is what got us to where we are today. I'd much rather live in a modern land of the free, than in some Mid East cave trying to escape incoming. And it's reflected in the game that is now the more national pastime than baseball. So get over it. I'm a bit tired of those making calls for radical change claiming hurt feelings when all they are doing is opportunistically becoming "Me Tooers" on issues that had little direct bearing on the George Floyd execution.Tearing down statues, and being very careful not to call that and actions like torching and looting retail businesses something other than black racism is short sighted. The time to clamp down on this clap-trap has already past. **** has become a year that none of us saw coming.
