sept ** I was in your store waiting to make a purchase. A sales assoc. came up to me and asked if I had a Walmart mastercard, I did. he then asked if I spent over $ **** since I got my card, I would be able to apply for a World master card. I agreed. we went up to one of the registers, he input my info and said I was approved. I went in a week later, still with my old card to make a purchase, and it was declined * times. (DO YOU KNOW HOW EMBARRASSING THAT WAS, WHEN MY CARD DID NOT HAVE A BALANCE ON IT AND I AM A GOOD CUSTOMER)? I them phoned your credit office and was informed that I was approved for your regular credit card. (I HAVE ONE ALREADY, WHY DO I NEED ANOTHER?) and that my original card was canceled because I was approved for another and I could not have * master cards. I didn't want * cards!!!! I them got the other regular card today so I phoned to activated it and found out I did not get approved for the World card because I did not make $***,*** a year and did not spend $**,*** a yr. which was all relayed to the assoc. when applying for the world card. I phoned the store to talk to the store manager, while waiting for ** min. to be connected, somehow the lines got crossed and I ended up talking to another customer who had been waiting on the phone for ** min. for a price check.*What is going on with your stores? ???? This is totally ridiculous. Your staff should better be retrained on credit procedures and using your switchboard.
