Help with my WalMart.com issue
The issue in GetHuman-broylesk's own words
I purchased my ** year old daughter a Sims* game at the Walmart in Okemos, MI St****** on *******. My daughter did not even have a computer and was waiting for one that we purchased online and didn't receive until ******. When we purchased the game the gentleman took the game out of the security controlled device. We paid for it and left. **After getting our computer yesterday we noticed it didn't have a CD ROM so decided to pay for and download the game from EA sports and return the previously purchased game. I took the game to the Eastwood Towne Center Walmart in Lansing, MI **** Centre Blvd. because it is close to my work. **The manager "Kitti" would not return my item due to "copyright laws" and told me I could only return it for the same game. I told her that we received the game without whatever "protective wrap" she claims is around the game when purchasing. She stated I should take the game back to the Okemos store if I had a problem. I stated "you are both Walmarts why can you not return it here". Kitti claims that the stores are not the same and I need to take it back to the Okemos store for return because they made a mistake. I have purchased from one Walmart before and took it to another Walmart and got my money back. That did not make sense. I then asked if she had a business card and she stated "no". I asked if she could write down her name and her store * so that I could talk to corporate. She ripped off a piece of receipt tape and handed me a pen. I told her due to Covid I was not going to use her writing utensil and to write it down for me. She stated no and that she was "done" with me. There are two problems here. ** she stated I could return the Sims game for the exact same game. Which if I was thinking I would have done that and then returned the new game to a different Walmart to get my money back. ** during Covid times you really need to "educate" your people, especially managers. She was not wearing a mask and handed me HER pen. Does this make sense to you?
