Get my order delivered in the time frame that Walmart advertised. ... My issue is that I ordered * items from Walmart, because there was an offer of two-day shipping and I desperately needed the items in that time frame. The items included a couch cover, a floor air conditioner, and a bed frame.Once the order was placed, it still said the items would arrive in two days. However, when the shipping day arrived, I received emails from Walmart delaying the shipping on two of the items. I would have understood this if there had been hurricanes or some other disaster, but that is not the case. There was no reason given for the delayed delivery. One of the items arrived a day late, and the other arrived two days late. This may not seem important, but that delay will cost me a two-hour trip, including gas money and loss of rest because I have to go on an evening after I get off work. In addition, I had people lined up to help me carry and install the items during the two-day time frame. Now I will be doing it alone, and I'm not sure I can. My issue is, why does a two-day shipping option even exist on the website? It is obviously a service that Walmart cannot provide and comes very close to false advertising. I registered a complaint about the shipping issue on the Walmart website and received a response from someone whose first language was obviously not English. They offered to cancel the order for me. I had to explain that I did not wish to cancel the order. I was just unhappy because of the breach of the two-day shipping that had prompted me to order the items from Walmart in the first place. The person then answered that they would discount my order $*.** for my trouble. This was a $***.** order. Five dollars off is a joke. I haven't heard anything since that offer was made anyway, so I doubt that it will even be honored. I'm not really expecting anything. I now have to make a special two-day hour trip to deliver the items, and I have no one to help me maneuver some very heavy items up a set of outside stairs. I had people in place to help me based on the advertised time frame, but their schedule will not accommodate the delayed delivery dates.
They can't make it right. The only thing that might help at this point is to offer to discount the items substantially to offset the time and money this is costing me.
I have shopped at Walmart for at least ** years.
Tried to fix it through the Walmart website. Got an email from someone whose first language was obviously not English. They offered to return the items for me, which I did not want. I need the items. Then offered to give me a $*.** discount. This was a $***.** order. Seriously? Five dollars!!!???
