On ********* I decided to give Walmart at the Frederica street here in Owensboro Ky. another chance to redeem itself as due to poor customer service and rude employees I stopped spending my dollars at Walmart about * and a half years ago and started using family Dollar , Dollar General , and Krogers for my needs. I was at this location between the hours of *:** PM and *:** PM. I went for a reason to purchase a shoe for work, while I was there I also decided to purchase other items . I spent time in the Pharmacy, hygiene, and make up isles and placed the items needed in the cart. I proceeded to the shoe department and tried to locate this shoe Walmart had all colors but white, I asked the staff member near by who was sweeping if there would be a shipment soon of the white shoe and without even looking up at me and with her back turned she informed me that the store was out and would not be ordering anymore I had to wonder how she even knew what shoe I was asking about as she never looked up in the first place. I was somewhat discouraged , but i decided to then shop in the grocery isles. I made several purchases , one two of those items were the Oscar Mayer ** oz deli turkey and chicken. The unit price posted was $*.**. I then proceeded to checkout as a storm was approaching . I went to the area of the store I entered in at and needless to say I had to many items for the only register opened so i decided to self check out at the first register . i started to scan my items and I noticed that the Oscar Mayer ** oz deli meat was incorrect , I asked the staff member for assistance , I explained to her that the posted price was $*.** and asked if she could change the amount to the correct price. the staff member said she could not that the price was correct . I informed her that it was not correct so I decided not to purchase the item and I also asked her to remove the bread and the other items that I was going to use for this product, I would just purchase the other items , she then informed me that other customers had been buying this item all day and I was the only one to complain and that she would have to cancel the whole order for me to be able to start over. I stated to her that if no one else complained about the price it was because they did not notice the over charge at the time and by her comment alone many customers were overcharge on this item today, i asked to speck with a customer service person and she call one to the area. The customer service person scanned the item and showed the women what was on the small black scanner and said this is what it is showing, I thought it was showing the posted price so I again started to check out and the overcharge was the same , i asked the staff member again for help as I knew the charge was wrong. i was told that was the correct price, I even offered to go get the posted tag and she told me I could not. I had about $***.** worth of items in my cart and I informed the staff member I would not be making any purchase at Walmart. i then returned to the grocery area , located the item noted that I was correct about the price, asked the employee to verify the cost , explain to him what happened and that I refused all my purchases because of this issue , the very NICE young man made the call to a store manager who also verified the price and that I was correct. The manager apologized and offered to sale the item to me at the posted price , but i informed him that i already refused all the items in my cart at the front, the storm was already here and now I was unable to make it to my car in time before it started raining. The manager was nice and he did apologize for all the trouble , I apologized to them for making such a big deal out of the issue but I do not like being made to feel like I was lying about the price. I then left Walmart and made the same purchases at the Dollar Store on Carter road. Walmart lost $***.** and Dollar store gained $***.** dollars. I will NOT be going to either Owensboro Ky. Nothing..I will never deal with Walmart again further more I have and will continue to let as many people know about my horrible experience. i just hope that all the people who were overcharge on this day realized what happen and was able to get their money back. I for one left my cart with $***.** dollars worth of product and went to the Dollar store and paid less.
