On Sunday ******* at **:** in Toms River, NJ at st* *****, I purchased a Walmart prepaid Visa card and put $** plus $* activation charge, so a total of $** on the card in the electronics department. I then proceeded to shop and used the card at a register for $**.**. *The next day, I went to check the balance on my card and it says the last * of my social security number does not match the card. I of course tried multiple times and it did not work, which is to say of course I was unable to reach a live customer service representative.*I also have another Walmart debit card for quite a few months that I have misplaced in the house so I figured I'd just get this new card for the time being until I was issues a new card for my misplaced one. Now I do have all the original receipts from the *th. *After these attempts, I tried the new card online. It said "Good News! Your card is already registered"and it took me to my online walmartmoneycard.com account, but again when asked for the last * of my SS* it doesn't match. *Next, I called the local Walmart where I purchased the card but all they said was they could really help and since I knew how much money was on the card, just try and spend it. So I tried this ordering pizza. No SS* or PIN necessary. $**.** should be the balance on the card. It was declined. She tried again for $* less, still declined and they took the pizzas back. Extremely embarrassing. Next I tried calling the number listed on the web for Green Dot Bank but it is a non working number. Then I tried Walmart Customer Service *** number and thought I got through because the rep told me he was putting me through to 'escalated affairs' but actually it bounced me back to the *** number on the back of the card where I can not reach a human rep unless my information matches and the problem I am having is that it does not match!*Finally on Wednesday my friend took me back to the Walmart where I purchased the card and although very nice, they were not able to help me. They suggested everything I had already tried. I went to a register and tried to purchase a drink for $*.** and it wouldn't go through. I explained to the floor manager the problem before trying to purchase it so we tried many ways but to not avail.*Yesterday I received my 'personalized money card' in the mail. My last name is spelled wrong!!! And of course the last * of my SS* still does not match. This is unbelievable! My address is correct, it takes me to my walmartmoneycard.com account but it's holding my money hostage!!! I want a quick resolution. Not just an email but a phone call from someone with a resolution which is to put the money from this new card ending in **** onto my new card that will be sent to me since I reported my card lost online. *My home phone is ***-***-****. *My name is MIA DENTICO*Last * of my SS* is **********@***.com is the email associated with my walmartmoneycard.com account.**Thank You and I look forward to a quick resolution because I have been a loyal customer to both Walmart and Walmart Prepaid Money card.
