The issue in GetHuman-vinnola's own words
To Whom it May Concern:* My son (Tyler VInnola), husband (James VInnola) and I (Christine Vinnola) were on Vueling flight ***** August **, **** ****am Florence Italy to London-Gatwick. The plane left the terminal, started down the runway picking up speed, the nose of plane started to lift off, when suddenly the plane came down and proceeded to a full stop. We were thrown forward in our seats from the sudden stop but our seatbelts kept us safe. Shortly later the captain notified us in Italian and then English that the flight was aborted due to an engine light that came on during take-off. We were told to wait at the terminal for further instructions. About an hour later we were notified that the flight was canceled. Vueling staff made accommodations for us and we were then taken by bus to Rome where we were told we would be offered a flight out of Rome the following day. We were given a hotel to stay at for the night.* My issue is that the company that my family used to obtain travel insurance is refusing to reimburse us because Vueling is stating that the flight was canceled due to operational issues. Since the flight was canceled due to an engine light alerting the pilot during takeoff, I am requesting a note from Vueling stating that the flight was canceled due to 'Mechanical' issues please. This will insure a refund of travel expenses for our family which were incurred due to missing our connecting flight and having to stay an extra * days in Europe.* Thank you so much in your time and assistance in this matter.
