Dear Sir*Madam*I am writing regarding flight **** on September ** from IBZ to BCN with the scheduled departure time of **:**. *This flight arrived * hours late at BCN causing us to miss our next flight back to the states. The passengers in the party were Shaily Jariwala and Lisa Kovacs. On top of this delay, no luggage arrived at BCN for all passengers, causing over *** passengers to wait at the Iberia office for over * hours in line to claim lost luggage. We had to pay to book a hotel and another flight the next day since our airline did not accommodate our change. We were also told by Vueling that our bag could arrive on the next flight in from IBZ, so we waited and nothing. They told us our luggage would be delivered to our hotel that night and it did not. Thankfully, my luggage came the next day, while my friend’s is still somewhere in Spain.*While I understand delays happen and things are out of our control, I do not understand how an entire plane did not carry passenger’s checked luggage. *The judgment of the Court of Justice of the European Union in Tui & others v CAA confirmed the applicability of compensation for delay as set out in the Sturgeon case. As such, I am seeking compensation under EC Regulation ******** for this delayed flight.*My scheduled flight length was ***km: €*** per delayed passenger in my party. The total compensation sought is €***.*I look forward to hearing from you and would welcome a response in * days. Thank you for your time. **Sincerely,*Shaily Jariwala
