Time line of problems working with Team Verizon in Crandon, WI***. I had one last payment on my Motorola Turbo when I was texted from Team Wirelesss that I was eligible to an upgrade. Went to Crandon to see what was available and was told a *G telephone could be bought at a reduced price from $*** something to $*** something with a contract of payments for two years. It would add $** monthly to my bill til the phone was paid off. So with that my phone bill would be around $*** or $*** a month. “It’s a really good deal” I was told. “Trust me, it’s a really good promotional deal.” So I did. Now I am told it should be $***.**. Several days later I find that the phone won’t work on *G unless I bought an attachment for it. (I was not told this.) Went to Crandon and said I could get it for only $**. (Another special promotion). Paid that, was given the attachment. I was happy. And of course I had to pay an activation fee. (which is a rip off – since we already shell out a lot of money for these phones and service). I was still happy.**.. Several day later I was called and told that the promo deal was over and I was not eligible so I would have to shell out $*** for that attachment. I was very upset. Went to Crandon again. Well, they made a mistake here and said they would fix it. I was put back somehow on the $** deal. I was happy. Now I have a *G phone which I do like, except *G is not yet in our area. I expect it will be in the near future.** I have a landline phone and figured it would be beneficial to drop that and tranfser all my phone service to Verizon .. By doing this I was told I would save $** a month in savings if I would drop the landline phone and router and take out an extra phone account from Verizon. For me that’s a big deal since I am ** and have a small retirement income. So I said OK. I took home small router (Jet Pack) and a telephone jack (from Verizon) and was told I had ** days to try it , but that I should wait ** days before I tried the telephone. Took them home, and then was told I could test the telephone by plugging it in and call a number to see that it works. It did. *Tried the router, not so good, much much slower on video than my landline router even though I live only * mile from a Verizon tower. Took it back. Girl said OK she will cancel the order, but then charged me $** or $** ( can’t remember which) for a restocking fee. Another rip off I was not informed about.*So now I have a *G telephone with it’s special attachment, which does not work any better than the phone I had just paid off. *And then I get my next monthly bill to be $***.** WHAT?????? Then I was told I had unlimited data (how nice – but that’s $** per month. ) And I had to have it for the *G to work when it does come. (I was not told this) and if I had known I would have refused the phone in the first place. I don’t need unlimited data, I don’t use much data to begin with. And what’s more we don’t have *G in this area to start with. **To be blunt, I feel I’ve been badly taken in here, either by inept sales people at Team Verizon (at best) or downright bait and switch tactics or downright fraud (at worse). And to make matters worse I can’t go back to my old phone – JUST PAID OFF - because while I was happy with all these supposed deals, I had given it to someone who could not afford to buy a smartphone. They advised me to contact you to have the *G Modo Mod removed from my account and for me to return it, since I have no need whatsoever of unlimited data nor would I have bought it if I had known what it would cost me. None of this was explained to me. Thank you
